In Star Wars Battlefront II, how do you set voice chat to push to talk (why is this NOT the default) or disable voice chat completely? I didn't see it in options in the game and when I changed it in the Origin overlay settings the game ignores it and transmits anyways.
No matter what I do I cannot disable the freaken voice chat in Star Wares Battlefront II (PC) when grouped with a friend. I also changed Origin's voice chat to "push-to-talk" which was completely ignored.
I talked with a couple of EA advisers on their online chat and they said that this is a bug that they're aware of and they do not have an update on when it'll be fixed. I believe it's only people in your Origin client group that hear you. So your friends can mute you in SW:BF2 and no one will else should hear you in-game.
This problem still exists - any word on a fix yet?
It's been a while. I am doubtful they will fix it. However, it is only people in your Origin client group that can hear you. So, you can mute your friends (every time you load the game, unfortunately) and use a different voice chat program.

me too i dont understand why you dont have push to talk button in game or even origin setting why do i have to open my mic all the time ??????? can you fix it EA
