How would i change the language on Battlefront 2?

I bought the game on Steam. Showed I could play in many languages including English. Now, whenever I start up the game,

It is stuck on Russian no matter what I do. I've done everything I could in the forums and all suggestions from the live help and nothing worked. I live in America, Got the game with an American Pc. Purchased it with an American Bank. How could it not be in English?

This was supposed to be for my Dad who is currently termanilly ill and i was trying to set it up for him but how can we understand anything if its not in the Native Language of the country in literally In.

    No worries @ThyNuggett.

The best thing to do is to chat with Steam support as our team simply would not be able to offer assistance for any issues related to game language options on a purchase made from Steam.

You should be seeing this screen when looking for support about your purchase (this is an Origin game bought on Steam)

@ThyNuggett My best recommendation is, refund it and get it on the correct store, be sure to have any VPN or similar off when doing it

There's no other way to revert purchases mistakenly done from an incorrect IP, nor to change the region of them once done

Even if you use an american CC, if the purchase goes through the incorrect storefront, you get the exclusive version of that region, and those are usually language-locked to avoid abuse

You'll likely only get help there and not here, since this is a Steam store sale issue, not Origin

Sorry to hear about your dad @ThyNuggett. I hope that everything is ok for him and for you during this time.

Looking into your issue and this would be something that you need to discuss with Steam support.

Our live support team can offer advise and some assistance but as the purchase was made through Steam then they would not be able to assist in any way with language options available in-game.  These options are dependent on geographical location asweel as the store front you used to make the purchase so if there has been a mistake or errror then Steam support is your best avenue for assistance.

  • Hey, so um i spoke to Steam support. They said....

    Hello,

We've exhausted our troubleshooting for STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II.

I can confirm that the package you own for this game contains the English version.

Steam Support cannot assist with in-game problems pertaining to third-party games.

I recommend contacting the game's support team for assistance with this issue again, as they'll be a much better resource for troubleshooting issues with their game.

You can reach STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II support by using the information from the Official Support section here.

Hey @ThyNuggett I'm not sure why Steam support directed you to our support.

If you made the purchase through Steam then it means that any issues with the version you received would be on the Steam end rather than Origin.

You can speak with our live support team to see what they can do but please keep in mind that as the purchase was made through Steam and not Origin then they may not be able to offer assistance for issues relating to the version of the game you received.

You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.

To  speak with a phone or chat adviser:

    Click on your product Origin

    Then select 'PC

    Manage my Account'

    Can't log in

Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or call
