How would you make a Battlefront Game?

@XxDeepDiveJrxXI'd abolish the 3rd person mode as well as these minimap tracers that show up just because someone is running or spawning as hero/vehicle.

These are the two features of the Battlefront series I dislike the most. Combat rolls are next on my list. At least you can't exploit rolls over the edge like in BF2015 anymore.

So less advantages for campers and more working with our own senses instead.

Come on, you can do it. That guy has a flashy green glowstick, I trust you're able to spot him without needing that extra big dot on the minimap.

Same for tanks, idk what's the deal with these deep red tracers here.

I can hardly miss these engine sounds as well as the obviously big size of that tank.

Hmm. Designing would depend on what's required of the game, based on the info collected by the data analysist, & what product manager/producer/s wanted me to include.

Not another SWBF - tries to cram too much content which cannot be maintained/stored/evenly distributed. Instead, I'd make four to six era locked games which focus on the planetary based combat aspects of Swbf. One portion of swbf... Just as Squadrons focused on the space flight aspect of swbf & only expanded from there. (I'd really like to see a  map/battle/event/match/game that includes the mudtroopers.)

If the games had to be canon (with the exception that outcomes of battles can be non canonical) I'd recount the actual battles that occurred in any observable Star Wars material. Then start from there to determine which maps & characters will be made available for which games.

Battle Map based events on a schedule would be tailored to suit the material they're based off of.  (Not every battle would have named hero characters. There wouldn't be any heroes in there - unless heroes were specifically in that battle in media. There wouldn't be any air support if there hadn't been any written into the original narrative. This means that for some maps we'd have specific Droid characters/Jedi characters. Only available to play in certain battles.)

Different battles might have varying objectives... (The time would be affected by the main server/s - not by induvial console/device times)

Instead of lobbies occurring freely/whenever, I'd take the Ewok event approach. So players could learn to schedule for (a certain) battle they want to ""ship out"" on. It provides a bit of role playing for a person, to set a time and date of when they're going to be involved in a (simulated) battle. The schedule would have to be frequent though - to enable a larger portion of the fans participation.

I'd consider which features could be included to make the game a unique experience beyond it's STAR WARS theme. (Playing different games can help inspire me which features I could consider including. But ultimately, I'd have to consider which features are more popular among other gamers... It would help if I'm personally able to understand these features though. ) 

Concerning content & progression; maybe during some events, you have the opportunity to find a higher ranking position on the field.
(You could scavenge the armor on the battlefield for a chance to wear that rank for a while. Drawing ties from the Solo movie, as I was thrilled when this exact thing was implied to have happened for one of the characters...)
Although you could scavenge ranked armor, there'd be a progression bar so that if you're unlucky, you can naturally earn the rank - it'd be optional too. If you prefer to run around as a storm trooper, you can, the longer you remain specifically a Storm Trooper the more unlocks of battle damage you obtain for that rank. That way, if you want to express your fondness for the trooper, but still indicate that you are an experienced player, you can apply different damage textures you've unlocked through your battles. ((None of that clunky overhead UI pink and blue text with numbers &/or badges.)) Your direct character model would indicate who & what you are/ what you've accomplished. 
Credits could unlock prosthetics & other outward appearances. Your history would reflect this per character. Characters would align to maps. So you could edit your character for (battle of Blank) but whether or not you can immediately play that mode is dependent on event/map status.  

Over time, weapons could diminish.  If you pick up someone else's blaster on the field, & its pretty tattered, you wont have it for long. You'd have your primary weapon which you have all the time, & you'd have a secondary weapon which you picked up at some point - or bought with credits prior to the battle. Weapon skins would apply only if you have that gun unlocked, if you find a weapon on the ground & use that; it's previous users' paint job remains. Weapons would be the only thing that don't include battle damage skins - as they'd indicate their usability based on visible damage (unlike armor). So if you find a really neat discarded gun that appears to have damage paint - its not just a skin to look cool - it's actually damaged and will eventually explode/stop working. 

Maybe the armor could behave that way too but that might get too tedious. (I'd have to determine it based on data...) 

You'd have the option to put your grenades on a specific hand - also, you could use a blaster/s on either your left / right / or left&right, depending on your preference/s (it's always bothered me that they didn't have this in swbf15, you could change your camera angle, but never your gun hand... In 'Gears you could wall swap which hand your pistol was in, & I really enjoyed that...)  It's kind of universal. Not everyone is right/left handed, it'd be great for players to display their prefs in that regard. ) 

@XxDeepDiveJrxX Some great ideas.  As much as I like Clone Wars, I don't think any Battlefront games should focus on one era again.  Even the very first game that came out before Revenge of the Sith still included prequel content.  Battlefront 2015 frustrated a lot of fans by focusing only on the original trilogy.  As far as my own ideas, I would do the following:

Gameplay:

• The main focus should be taking Supremacy to another level with higher player counts, larger maps, and no phases.
• Capital ships will be interactive on the map, boardable, and the overall objective.  Capture points will include missile silos that will fire at enemy capital ships.
• Vehicles will be on the map, not reinforcements.  That includes troop transports to get to the capital ships or otherwise move troops around the map.
• Basically a Star Wars larger scale version of Titan Mode from Battlefield 2142.  See the following video:  Battlefield 2142 Titan Tutorial - YouTube
• There will also be smaller game modes like GA, Blast, Extraction, etc.  These modes will use cut-out sections of the Supremacy maps.  This is similar to Battlefield modes like Rush and Domination using portions of the Conquest maps.
• Starfighter Assault could return since most locations had space battles too
• Co-op would return with more variety to the modes and objectives

Heroes/Villains:

• A mix of some of the most popular and new ones we haven't seen yet.
• Mandalorian will be included in OT era since it takes place only 5 years later
• Some heroes/villains will be cross era
• PT era heroes - Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka Tano, Bo Katan, Mace Windu, Padme Amidala
• PT era villains - Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, Gar Saxon, Jango Fett, Aurra Sing
• OT era heroes - Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Din Djarin, Ahsoka Tano, Bo Katan, Cara Dune
• OT era villains - Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Palpatine, Moff Gideon, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Gar Saxon (Rebels), Maul
• ST era heroes - Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, BB-8, Ben Solo
• ST era villains - Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, General Hux, BB-9e, Palaptine

Locations:

• Locations will be mostly be new to Battlefront
• Some locations will be cross era
• PT locations - Mandalore, Coruscant, Utapau, Mygeeto, Geonosis
• OT locations - Mandalore, Hoth, Bespin, Jakku, Mos Eisley, Navarro (for smaller modes and co-op)
• ST locations - Starkiller Base, Ajan Kloss, Jakku, Exogal, Kijimi

Post launch support:

• Added content will rotate PT -> OT -> ST and continue to cycle through the life of the game.  That way no era will be without added content for long.
• Cross era content will be added to all applicable eras.  For instance, if Chewbacca is added, he will be added to both OT and ST.
• With Disney+ and a wide range of fan favorites, there should be no lack of content to choose from.

TLDR:  I've always said Battlefield 2142 was a great template for a Star Wars Battlefront game.  Just picture Star Wars vehicles and such in the trailer:  Battelfield 2142 Intro - YouTube

For starters get rid of Hero's or at least Hero's spam 

It's Battlefront not Hero mission

Opinión de jugador desde los pc's de los 90 y que al descubrir la super Nintendo no paró de jugar, gracias a Play Station continuó la alegría de la inmersión hasta día de hoy con PS4 a la espera de algo mejor.

Por lo que he visto de Star Wars (me chifla este universo) de los mejores juegos que salieron a luz fueron los SW Kotor, los de PS1 con las historias de la segunda trilogía de clones, los del poder de la fuerza, y por último los Battelfront antiguos, los nuevos simplemente son más cooperativos online y estéticos gráficamente.

A nivel contenido todo a decaído con el paso de los años, pero se que también es más complejo y por ello no es fácil hacer algo enorme y bien pulido.

A lo que voy, como lo haría yo? 

Pues como lo haría cualquier gran Jedi o Sith, buscando el equilibrio, con desapego, y sin que me importase eliminar a mi maestro de un golpe seco.

Las mejores historias creadas son aquellas que comienzan desde 0. Lavarse la cara a diario es refrescante verdad? Pues hacerlo con un juego de Star Wars lo sería.

Algo basado en alguna novela de las cientos que hay, otra época, adelante o atrás en las historias de los films o juegos, sin miedo.

3000 años antes? Kotor, 3000 después? Complicado para la franquicia.

Me lanzaría a los inicios o al pleno apogeo de las épocas Jedi y Sith, donde ambos bandos están al 100% de usuarios aferrados al uso de la fuerza...ese punto donde el conflicto dio comienzo. 

No necesito un mundo libre, ni un online gigante, necesito enriquecerme con lo que escucho, con lo que veo, con la experiencia de algo nuevo y fresco como lo ha sido el Mandaloriano (sin llegar a serlo realmente).

No tengan miedo de romper el molde, algunas piezas son únicas y eso, es parte del proceso de la obra final.

Trabajo en cine, efectos especiales específicamente, y se que alguien pondrá la mano sobre la mesa sin temor y dirá...a tomar por saco! Hagamos algo distinto! Lo nunca visto!

Un juego que pese 50 GB, con 1 solo planeta a conquistar y 4 facciones que luchen por el poder total, y cada 3-6 meses añadiremos otro planeta que pese otros 20Gb...vamos, lo compro y vendo todo lo que tenga en catálogo.

Hagamos un juego donde las espadas laser no brillen por su ausencia, donde el rol sea necesario para generar una estrategia ganadora. No necesito farmear muertes, ni ganar miles de puntos para tener un pijama como skin; lo que quiero es aire fresco e historias que con un corto guión pueden erizar la piel del menos deboto de Star Wars.

Los héroes contados no molan, cada individuo es un héroe, y solo un modo de juego donde todo se mezcle mucho mejor que dividir un juego en 15 partes...ahora naves, ahora héroes, ahora Ewoks, ahora leches! Todo a la vez! A ver quién sobrevive a una salvajada así.

Offline? Nah, Dice y EA apuestan por el online, y a veces por off, sin problema, offline un juego del primer Jedi y el primer Sith, en dos discos edición oro que cueste 120€, lo pago.

En online...la gran conquista...Star Wars Age Gold. O Star Wars Times Remotes.

Ánimo! Pidamos algo nuevo! La saga inicial ya está trillada desde hace años!
