I don't think it is intended that there are two the same heroes/villains in the HvV mode. It is still possible to exploit this bug and have multiple heroes in the same match. The patchnotes of the Grievous update said to (finally) have fixed the issue, however this is not the case. Sorry for the language, but this dev team is SO incompetent, that instead of fixing the cause of the BUG, they tried to remedy it by making it harder for us to change heroes when we respawn. They have no idea what they are doing, it's a shame for everyone.So now, those who try this BUG are still successful, and those that play normally have a hard time trying to change hero when they get back to selection screen.

Luke hero character selection wasn't faded out (as it would have been normally when someone else on your team has already chosen the hero) so I spammed that. No results. So i just picked Lando

As you know by now, this is absolutely possible. There's a "real" Luke and a "projected" one. Just ask Kylo 🙂

Some more info:
With the 2 Lukes still alive, I died (as luke) and tried to respawn. The 10 second timer ticked away, but at 0 seconds it didn't spawn me in. It was frozen on the screen. I pressed spacebar and was placed in the hero selection screen, in which another timer was counting down from 20s to 0. I waited 20s but I didn't get respawn has luke, nothing happened again. Luke hero character selection wasn't faded out (as it would have been normally when someone else on your team has already chosen the hero) so I spammed that. No results. So i just picked Lando
