Is this update worthy of 'Season' status?
After waiting for almost six months and encountering numerous bugs, glitches, issues and detrimental patches during that time, and receiving mixed messages from support and community managers (when they even bothered to acknowledge us), we finally got the start of "Season" 2.
It's not the Clone Wars stuff we were all hoping and asking for but I can actually see the commercial benefits of doing Solo stuff to tie in with the movie release.
But... is this actually classed as a season? Is this really all we get after SIX MONTHS?
Yes, they got rid of the holograms and the new animations are pretty cool.
Yes, the games load a bit quicker.
Yes, there are some new skins (although why Boushh for Leia is 80k i don't know?).
Yes, you can play with Starfighters on Arcade mode.
Yes, there's a new game-mode (Hero Showdown), but you will have to wait in a lobby for eternity before realising it's not very good.
Yes, a load of bugs and glitches were apparently fixed or tweaked.
So i ask... what makes this any different from the other patches we've had in the past?
- There are no new characters and none coming anytime soon according to Ben 'Ven' Valke
- There are no new Starfighters and again imagine none are coming anytime soon
- There are no new maps for GA or SA (Jabba's palace is just a rehash of a Battlefront 1 map and not available on all modes)
- There are no new weapons
- There is really nothing content wise that makes me think... oh yeah there's a new movie out within a week!
- There is no road-map like we got at the start of the Last Jedi Season (see below pic)
- There is not even a 'choose a side' option with added incentives for playing, also like we got last time.
And on an unrelated side note... how can a Star Wars game (regardless of whether it's deemed 'Clone Wars' content or not) choose to omit both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker from it's character rosta? It beggars belief.
Thoughts please people.
