Problem: I was playing SA, and two friends hit "join" to join me in the social hub of the game. I "invited" them so that we would continue to play together (as matchmaking simply does not keep friends together if they just "join", if they are not in a group, it is almost a guarantee that matchmaking splits them apart). I also created a PS4 party to make it easier to chat, as game chat always cuts out during the matchmaking. But one person got booted from the multiplayer group during the matchmaking, and was unable to rejoin us in-game. He showed as in the group, and in our party, and he had good connection. However, he kept being placed "in the queue" even though our team needed a few more players. Sometimes the match started loading for him, then he was booted to the menus. After trying a few things, such as resetting the game, etc, the only thing that worked was for ALL of us to leave the group, and start a new group, and then we could play together. Note: the exact same thing happened to me a few days ago, but I don't remember the time. We didn't think of all leaving the group and starting a new one, so I just abandoned the game and went and played Fallout instead. So bottom line here is that the matchmaking is still not a good experience for people playing in groups.
Other feedback: I have noticed a change in the balancing of numbers before a game begins, glad to see that. However, we still end up waiting a lot for players, and are frequently taken out of a full room and dumped into a half-empty room that takes a long time to balance or fill up. Not impressed with the fact that this problem is still lingering.
@EA_Ataashi- @Alliecat7803 's post is a problem I have noticed as well even though I don't play in groups. This is a problem MM has caused by going from full lobbies to half empty ones. The wait for them to fill can be lengthy and more often than not, players are continually leaving the game. Now I fully understand why. Their groups are broken up and they wish to rejoin their friends. Unfortunately that leaves us solo players in the wilderness & having to search for a new game.

Hey everyone!
Again, thank you so much for being so detailed in all your reports 🙂 Please keep them coming!
In case you weren't aware, Ben Walke addressed the feedback about EOR matchmaking on our Battlefront forum, so I suggest to give it a read as well.

@EA_Ataashi, @ggibb65, @Alliecat7803.
Noticed today that the EOR system is acting like a control. I had 3 games today that ended in 2-0, 3-0 and 1-0 Match make activated each time. Not sure that if a match is that close it should be activating. I get the 10-0, 9-0 and 8-0 rounds, but it seems to do it, regardless. Is it that way today? Will it activate even if no one hits the KEY?
Also, I was expecting to be on the same side of the Match making but today is the 1st time it sent me to the other side. That was a new one. Seems like it is getting better. Games are filling much more often instead of being thrown out to a new location that does not fill.. .

@Major-Band1t - MM for me is generally working as a solo player - some hiccups occasionally. I think the problems players have with it is as I have mentioned many times is the compatibility with group play. SWBF2 has always encouraged the squad system (4 players) but has never enforced it. Group play has changed this. Players join groups with friends and want to always play together. Their group could be 2, 3 or 4+. I think that groups larger than the initial squad system (max 4) creates the problem for MM when it tries to even up the teams. I am assuming that it tries to keep a 4 or less player group together and that larger groups could be split up with some ending on the opposing team. Hence players quit and try to get back with their friends causing team differentials that won't allow a game to start even though the total number of players is more than enough (last night I was in lobby with a 19/12 split. Waited 5 minutes for the lobby to even up then players started to drop out. Ended up with game starting on 12/12 split). I don't know how they are going to fix this. Maybe a restriction on group numbers?
