With lower numbers now playing BF2, is it possible to now get cross-platform play? It seems this past week has had really low numbers for PC players. I could be wrong, but XBOX and PS4 seems to still have decent numbers, but I feel like PC is really struggling. I understand controller vs. keyboard/mouse concerns. Perhaps though PC players could play with xbox/ps4 players if the game recognizes there is a controller active during gameplay? I play with an xbox controller on my PC and the game knows that I'm using a controller, so maybe this could be a way to allow cross-platform for PC (if there is a controller active).

@AkiraSpectrumI think the controller vs mouse & keyboard issue kills that idea right away.First, I doubt that there'll be many PC players that'd use a controller just to be able to play together with console players.Also the number of PC players is still high and even if we had continued support, the devs wouldn't add this feature for a niche type of player I guess. Another thing is that there'd inevitably arrive that kind of players that use 3rd party tools to simulate a controller detection for the game while really using mouse and keyboard. Also even if they use a controller, hacks can still be installed and used as mentioned before.I'm saying this as a PC player, don't trust someone who can use all the potential of a PC.

As someone who games on pc ,Xbox and PsYes it should of happened and most likely will never happen in this particular game. When I say it should alway happen? Remember it Should only be the consoles used for cross platform. Pc has to many options to cheat and modify games if you know what you're doing or someone else does .Plus on Pc you would dominate the game against consoles players That's just the way it is and the truth MEMP 🐣

Definitely not lower numbers of players on PS4 since they gave it away for free. Read something like 3 million new players joined up. But of course, PlayStation rocks

@grrr33nflash Yeah I heard PS4 players had opportunity to get the game free and they had millions of downloads. Very jealous that I don't have a PS4, lol.

I support this only so that this game burns in a big dumpster fire of cheaters all over the place. The moment you open up crossplay the moment this forum is 100% posts about all the cheaters ruining every gamemode. Its gone past being a problem, Its like 1/25th of players are cheaters now.
