Joining empty Star Wars battlefront 2(II) servers South Africa

Have you tried port forwarding. It worked for me and my xbox one.

Hi, Bob here. I have been looking into this for you, and chatted with Dan to catch up. We checked in with our game team and they are not detecting any connectivity issues affecting your region. We would however advise against using European/other region servers to alleviate the problem, as it could compound the issue. If you know anyone else that is affected by the issue and has not already posted, then please link them to the thread on AHQ that Dan sent you before. This is what EA help told me on Twitter... 

Hey guys! Don't bother downloading the 5.8G update, the lobbies are still empty. Doesn't matter how long you wait, you'll be thrown into a lobby with one or two players who after a short while leave in any case. This is the worst game I've bought in all my years of gaming. Very disappointing EA, won't buy your games anymore. 

I have to choose Ireland as my ping server to get ANY matches. It is ridiculous.

Just adding to the slowly-growing chorus of voices saying that we South Africans can't find games in our region.

Are there not enough people in Africa playing this? I'm sure this thread is a small percentage of the local population so there must be at least a few dozen players!

I think the best way around this is to add African players on our platforms... So if you're on Origin, my IGN is Atranak.

Hi EA. Please fix your broken game, in South Africa every week I try play a game but it's empty all the time! Really fed up with purchasing a game for the price of a AAA game. Seriously ridiculous and a big waste of money spent! 

The server's are empty. Bring in something like you did with battlefield where we can choose servers with people in them at least!
