Loading Screen crash in every game mode, PC literally shuts down, 100% CPU spike

I am running an i7-7700k Nvidia GTX 1070 with 16g of RAM. DirectX 12 is installed and updated. The option is turned off in game.

My resources spike on loading screens. My RAM is at 100%, my Disk usage is at 100% and then once my processor hits100% everything shuts down. The entire system power cycles, like its been shut down and rebooted. I've tried FPS caps for the loading screen frame spikes. Fail. I've tried editing .ini files. Fail. All my crash dumps are empty so I can't even see what caused the problem to begin with. All I know is that the problem is seemingly coming from two things: my system struggling to interface with EA's host servers, and something related to DirectX12.

Please for the love of god tell me that I am not the only person dealing with this problem. My computer literally crashes to a hard reset, almost like a power outage or maybe an issue with my power shell. I have absolutely no explanation for this.

i5-7600K, gtx 1060 6gb, DirectX 12 is installed and updated. The option is turned off in game. Same exact issue. The game will  BARELY launch in windowed mode, but as soon as I change to borderless window or fullscreen - the issue you describe happens. My PC sort of 'squeals' and then eventually just cuts off. My rig runs other recent games on max just fine.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I'm running a resource manager in game right now at the title screen, experimenting with more console commands. I'm hoping that maybe this is something as simple as a buggy line of code.

However, I did notice something very strange.

When you press ~ to open to command console and you cycle through commands or type one in, the 1 or 0 is followed by a "Win32 result".

I'm running this game on a 64 bit system. I think this may be a part of the problem. Not the entire problem but at the very least a small part of it. Will update as I progress.

    Same problem for me too

  • I almost have the same issue apart from instead of my system shutting down the game just suddenly closes. I have a i5 4690K@4.6GHz and a GTX 1060 6GB@2GHz with 16 GB RAM.

    It's so annoying.
