Lost almost all my progress after re-logging back into account I've always used
Okay so this is a weird one, but here it is:
A while back, I had an issue where when I logged into Battlefront II, it would tell me that all I needed to do was reset my password and I would be able to play online again. I did this multiple times, it never worked. I knew, however, that my EA account was perfectly fine, as I’ve used it to sign in to other games and devices such as Apex on the PS4- it worked, no problems. At this point, I figured all I needed to do was find a way to just un-link my Xbox account to my EA account and re-link it, as since both of those accounts were so old and had been linked together for so long, I reasoned there may have been a sort of update that messed with things, so it just needed a chance to reset. I was never able to do this and ended up playing on a different account for EA games on the Xbox. Recently, I decided to give playing Battlefront II on my main account another shot, not expecting much, but to my surprise, there was a pop-up asking me to do what I’ve been waiting to do for MONTHS- re-login into my EA account. As predicted logging back in allowed me to go back online. All is good now right? Nope, never the case with me. Even better, now that I can play online, all the weapons, mods, and levels I had before are gone, and what’s even weirder is that I still have my skins. Again, same EA account for years, just got the chance to sign back in- no new EA account, same Xbox account. I contacted customer service and they basically told me that all my progress got erased because I unlinked and re-linked my EA account to my Xbox account (which is something I never even did on my own, it was months later that this pop-up came up and had me sign in, and if I was even to play the game, I had no choice but to do so, there was no other option- and had I known it apparently would delete everything, I wouldn’t have). This doesn’t even make sense, as why would all my skins still be here but not my guns or mods? This makes even less sense when you think about the idea of almost all my progress being erased after simply logging back (after being forced to do so) to an account that I’ve ALWAYS used and linking it to the other account that I have ALWAYS used and that both of these accounts have ALWAYS been linked together. Why would this happen, is there any way I can get my progress back? Also, I’ve had the same exact above problem with Battlefield I (the whole issue where it told me to reset my password and things would be fine and they weren’t), a game that I have played for even longer, also with the same exact accounts that were always linked together, and I fear the same thing happened there as well. I have way more progress made in that game as well, but more importantly is that it’s very sentimental to me- it was the account/game I played with my cousin all the time before he passed, and the guns, skins, stats, etc. were all things that I got with him. If nothing else, I would really really like the progress on Battlefield I back.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to get my progress back?
