The most frustrating part of the bad matchmaking in BF2 is that, for the most part, they had it right in BF1. After 2 matches on a particular map, before moving on the next map, the matchmaking did a "mix-and-match", shuffling some of the top players and bottom players, so that there was much better balance. It wasn't perfect, but at least you wouldn't end up playing the same team of power players over and over and over again. I guess sometimes this happens because people are playing in a squad, but squads should be matched up against other squads. And even with squads, the matchmaking could mix up the other players, but they don't. In BF2, if you get stuck with a team of noobs that have no idea what they are doing, against a team of super-good players, you are toast, and the only way to get another team is to leave (also no fun, due to LOOOOOONNNGGG load and unload times). I guess they tried a different matchmaking where you'd get put into completely different lobbies now and again, but that was also super-frustrating and people hated that even more, because it just messed up the map rotation for you, and it didn't guarantee you'd end up in a more balanced game (sometimes it was even worse). So this is definitely an aspect of the game that EA really, really, needs to work on, and I wish they'd just go back to what they did in BF1, it was way better than what's going on here.
