Thanks for making a thread, @RogueZeroRendar !
I will post this video of reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/b6u9p8/pretty_sure_ive_seen_someone_post_about_this/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x
So when maul does his choke, the area that is affected by it will stay affected (so it seems). When someone else walks into it, the throw and damage effects are still applied.
Weird because I've never seen this issue before and only discovered it in the patch notes of the last update:
"
- Fixed an issue where Kylo Ren's Pull and Darth Maul's Choke Hold abilities would occasionally activate twice when an enemy is in the same place, as the last time the abilities were used.
"
The bug seems to be added to the game instead of fixed 🤨. It was probably a very uncommon glitch that now suddenly happens more often.
Thanks for the evidence and explanation @DYSPROssium , I hope to get some time this Sunday to do some tests and I'll certainly try this one.
DICE is awfully bad on making patch notes. I don't doubt they introduced this BUG in the latest update, and between who discovered it and who wrote the patch, the info probably got corrupted and became " we fixed this issue" instead of "this is a known issue".
Let us remember when they said they fixed the takodana chickens, which meant they fixed all wildlife that was standing still instead of walking around, like the monkeys on Yavin and Kashyyyk, the chickens on Takodana, and the crows on Jakku. Or when they fixed "Grievous Star Card not working in Arcade" when it actually didn't work anywhere, not only in Arcade. Save some exceptions, patch notes are misleading at best, but many times are outright lies like when they fixed Han's double Charge, Chewie's double Slam, or the Dodge Stuck BUG, all which are still not fixed. It has been this way since the first patch, they don't really care about it unfortunately.
