@FearfulWarpIII have met some few people that are really good with the droids in HvH, especially as BB-9E because of the stun mechanic, but yeah, most people just wouldn't roll with them. (badum-tss)
I use BB-8 sometimes when I play with a stacked/better team because like for the blaster heroes with less overkill abilities, you'll need some team mates that care a little to cover or just stay near you.
Anyways, there are basically no better heroes for infantry modes than the droids.
Like Yoda, the small hitbox size is a great advantage for survivability and not being spotted that easily.
Also they're fast, have a fast health regeneration and, what's most ridiculous, they have a star card for increased max health regeneration.
Like wtf, Yoda doesn't have such a card, Maul doesn't, Luke and Kylo as well but the most difficult to hit targets do? That shows how well balanced the star card decks of newer heroes are while the deck of release heroes are often full of more useless cards or are outdated completely.
Also both can obliberate even large groups of infantry quite easily.
@CoffeeTonicYou should play BB-9E more. He isn't weak at all in infantry modes. I play him often and the stun ability works greatly to my advantage. Also you can dispatch even infantry groups relatively easy with his middle ability. You just need to equip the dmg increase cards. Also the fog will make it even more difficult for your opponents to find and shoot you then.
So no, BB-9E isn't really weaker than BB-8 in infantry scenarios because infantry doesn't have that much health.
With stun he's even better off against enforcers than BB-8 with his normal attacks.
Only in HvH is that significant difference present because of the insane cable dmg output of BB-8, even while pushed or pulled. But then again, stun attacks of BB-9E.
