Almost every single game of Heroes vs Villains i play, one of the teams has 3 players and the other one has 4. Sometimes even 2 versus 4. People leaving and joining mid game just ruins the game mode.In other game modes it doesn't effect the match as much but 4 versus 4 is kinda terrible if people keep leaving and joining.Solution: Small punishment for leaving from the game. Nothing serious, like a 30 minute cool down from playing or something to keep people from just leaving if their team is losing.

Because it's a game, not a job.People pay for it, play it in their free time and are not obligated to continue something if it simply isn't fun, like when your team gets steamrolled.It's absolutely ok if you "ragequit", because the game is supposed to be fun for you. You don't owe anything to anyone in a game.If you don't like that people leave your HvH, what prevents you from leaving the server as well if it's obviously not fun for you? Disconnect and look for another server that offers a match you like, anything else like getting frustrated and flaming in the game chat is a waste of time and energy.Not to mention that there might also be technical issues and that some people simply have to leave the match right now because they get more important things to do, you know, like things that involve the family.

Not all "quitters" do so cause they like to upset people. I've quit some games of H v V mid-game. Why, you ask? Well the reasons vary but they include -The game became glitched and would not let me spawn in. Would you rather me just sit there the whole game and make my team fight 3 v 4?;There is an obvious hacker in the game 1 shot killing people. I will not stay in a lobby with a hacker as you just enable them by doing so;EA's server goes on the fritz and loses my connection, thus booting me out of the game;My team mates keep doing really stupid things like attacking alone against 4 enemies and keep dieing thus costing us heaps of tickets, or force throwing opponents out of range just when I'm about to deliver the killing blow/shot and that enemy regens enough health and they come back and kill me;When I see a team mate under attack by multiple enemies I go to help them, they run away and I get slaughtered by the players who were attacking them;My team is under strength and its 3 v 4 or worse numerically;I've had unexpected visitors arrive meaning I have to leave the game to answer the door.As such, why should I have to play a whole game which I'm not enjoying due to the stuff above or get punished for leaving? Sorry that is not the way to stop it.

@grrr33nflashThis is the way.@quenaelinWhy should there be a ranking system in your opinion? There's no need for any game to copy that stuff from CS:GO. As me and @grrr33nflash have already explained above, it's still a game you own to play in your free time, unless you're cheating in multiplayer etc. you can do whatever you want with it.Also this is a game with classes on very different power levels, a rank system wouldn't be fair or accurate to represent one's skill, even in HvH.The only place where penalties or additional match rules for leaving the match prematurely/connection issues should be applied imo is a set up tournament of a game. Everywhere else this is just a mood killer.There was a similar thread some months ago and it was pure cancer, don't remind me of that one again everyone.

It’s understandable for people to leave a match of HvV due to having bad teammates or bad internet.

PLEASE PUNISH PEOPLE FOR LEAVING MID-GAME

No. Like @this_old_mouse said, there’s good reason a lot of times to quit especially in hvv. It’s far too difficult to find a balanced game even with all players. Besides this wouldn’t solve the issue of people who rage quit and turn off the system or switch to a different game.

Mouse makes good points about this. Why should someone have to stay in a toxic game if they are the only one attempting to compete against a bunch of level 500’s that team kill, spam emotes, teabag, Shoot your corpse, etc? I would agree with you if this game had a ranked mode for HvV where your rank would be negatively be affected due to people leaving. However, this is a casual game so all you lose if you ragequit is your ego, experience, and some credits which is a fair enough punishment imo.

Yeah... I understand all of your points and why you disagree and i wrote that message after losing like five games in a row because of people on my team leaving or being AFK or something. Most of the time it's really not an issue.

A 30 minute cool down? Did you even think this through? I’m pretty sure that would make people just stop playing this game, I know I would.
Like others said, there are good reasons why people leave a match and not all of them are because they are losing.

This game isn't worth the frustration. They're done fixing stuff now, as if it wasn't pointless to complain before, it is now because nothing will get done.

If there is a penalty for quitting then people will just jump off ledges or do what they can to make the game as short as possible. Need a ranked mode and a casual mode, that would help.

The correct fix for having players leave prematurely was to have an actual skill or level based matchmaking system, however because we don’t have that in any capacity, matches are more often that not completely unbalanced, so people leave.

@CHOPPAWONTMISS59 I understand, but I must pull out the fact that many people, like I did, are having some technical difficulties such as lag, stuttering and others since the game files are large and that makes it very susceptible to corrupted data on poor connections (lost packages). This might happen even more on PS4 right now since there's a lot of players currently active due to BF2 being available on the June Plus membership free games causing some higher stress on the servers. What platform are you playing on? Best regards

I too agree with mouse's point of view. Being forced to be on the receiving end of a steamroll if you're the only competent player or trying to play simply isn't fun or fair. There should be matchmaking according to rank for most and join date to discourage smurfs. That way you could have low levels play with one another and learn to play effectively and the high levels could enjoy a more evenly played match. Unfortunately however, the battlefront games suffer from PTFOS. It does truly seem as though at times, the team you are on seems to think that every game mode is blast and they only focus on killing everything while the other team secures the CP or whichever objective must be accomplished for the given mode.
