PS4 Pro Power off on Starfighter Assault

If my Playstation 4 Pro is loading Starfighter Assault: Fondor my System automatically power off everytime.
If I start the PS4 Pro after this shutdown I get the message: not shut down properly...

I can't say if it is only on the Map Fondor, because whenever I start Starfighter Assault it is loading the Fondor Map until now.
Last night I played Galactic Assault maps Endor, Kamino and Kashyyyk for over 1.5 hours without problems.
On other days and especially on weekends, my children and I also play games for several hours. There are never any problems of this kind.

  • @Ultra_Fighter_81 Thank you for the detailed report. If you haven't done so already can you try reinstalling the game content? Perhaps there's an issue with the local game files.

If you've tried this and it has no effect, can I check if you're using HDR? Does changing settings around this have any effect?

  • Thanks for your answer, yes I play in 4k with active HDR. It seems that this is a workaround for me.
I disabled HDR in the settings of the Playstation and then no longer had problems with the PS4 Pro power off by itself.
For Info: While you disable HDR, Battlefront 2 must be closed!

    Important:
In my original post I wrote that the error only occurs when my Playstation 4 Pro is loading Starfighter Assault.
That was correct until last night. But last night I suddenly could not join any multiplayer game, not even Galactic Assault.
Whenever loading is started for a BF2 Multiplayer match, the PS4 Pro has given a beep sound and for a very short time has displayed a blue screen with the info "Overheating".
After that, the system has turned itself off.

Here is a video of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFBpJaGwpTg&feature=youtu.be

But as I said, HDR disable is a solution for me. I hope the developers will solve the problem quickly so that we can all enjoy the game in HDR as well.

  • Sorry I'm back with my problem. Two days went well without HDR, but yesterday it came back to Bluescreens and automatically turn off the PS4 Pro.
In all game modes, on the fifth try I still had the option to click OK in the Overheating-Bluescreen, then the game went on and we played one hour
    without any problems.
I noticed that the fan of the PS4 Pro runs very loud at Battlefront 2, the fan does not do that in other games. You also hear that in the video I put online here:

Did you ever got a fix for this? I'm having the same problem on Fifa 21.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with SWBF2 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
