Uninstall the launchers - EA app, Steam and Origin, if you still have that installed. Reinstall Steam and EA app.
Make sure you are using the correct Steam account when launching from Steam.

I purchased the game directly from EA on PC, and since being upgraded to EA App, SWBF2 would fail to launch.
Today my cousin, who is a PC engineer, worked out where the problem is. We opened the EA App on my PC using a different local Windows User Account, and then tried starting SWBF2, and it launched and ran with no problems at all. When we switched back to my Windows User Account, the non-launch problem persisted, and still is at time of printing.
As such it would appear that the non--launch issue is caused by corruption somewhere in the Windows User Profile files. We could not work out where, but at least it narrows down the problem.
Help I have installed Windows 11 today and hit the same problem - see attached screenshot. Any ideas?
