  • I've done a power cycle several times still doesn't work. Everytime I try to launch the game it goes to a loading screen for 5-10 seconds then sends me back to the Xbox dashboard.

Hi there, I’ve had exactly the same problem for a week now. I’ve tried all the solutions and still nothing, just goes back to the Xbox screen. I literally bought the Xbox to play this game! It’s the only game I have, please fix this issue

It's moments like these where EA confirms they're incapable of reading or just don't give a ****. I never got to play this thing, just stare at a load screen in boot up. For the record, I bought this while it was on sale, just rest my console to factory settings, as well as my profile recovery. This does not strike me as a compatability issue no more, than having a straight up, missing file! On second thought, Splinter Cell Conviction just came up, free with gold & is givng me the same, exact problem.

What is wrong with EA? It is February in 2019 now and I am STILL dealing with this problem! Every time I launch the game it shows the black stormtrooper/ Darth Maul/Rey picture, and then a black screen pops up and brings me back to the Xbox homescreen. Can anybody help? I know this is an old post but plz? Anybody?

It is February 2020 and I also have this problem. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is on sale in the Microsoft Store.

I bought it on my Xbox One SAD and I can't get past the first loading screen. I removed user data, logged out and back in on my profile, removed and reinstalled the game, reboot my console.. nothing, I am trying to get my money back from Microsoft now.

  • Thanks for your reply. I decided to give it one more try: removed player data, removed game, logged out profile, reboot console, logged back in, reinstall the game and didn;t touch anythng till the game was fully installed.. and.... it worked! 🙂
