The fix for me was going to services(windows services manager) and stop and disable origin client serivce and origin web helper service and also restart your computer! Try it!

What I did was I completely uninstalled BF2 and then uninstalled Origin; apparently there were some folders or something that didn't get deleted the first time. After reinstalling both of them it finally started working again.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Origin and SWBFII multiple times, no luck. Hopefully someone else will find this thread useful, though!
