Okay, I tried the app recovery and the same issue. Epic thinks the game is installed, I can see the 90GB of files on my drive but EA app thinks the game needs to be installed.

I've seen this recommended by EA before...
- Uninstall all launchers (Epic, EA app, Origin, if you still have it) and the game.
- Reinstall Epic, EA app and the game in that order.
If I uninstall both the launchers will I have to reinstall every EA/Epic game?

No
Okay, Cool. 🙂
I'll try what you suggested and get back to you, thanks FHDHero.
Okay I did exactly this with interesting results.
I'm finally able to play the game. :D
What was interesting is that my installed games remained installed in the EA library but Epic registered no games installed after the reinstall of the software, the folders with the files are still on my computer but the games don't appear installed on Epic.
Any idea what might fox the new problem?

I don't understand how this could be the case, if you followed the sequence exactly as I described. Did you not reinstall the games with Epic?
I just left them as they were (11 games installed), removed epic as a program and then downloaded the launcher and ran it.
When I relogged in there was no installed games in my library, at least Battlefront 2 now works.

That's not the recommendation I provided, so...
"

I literally followed this step by step.

OK. Good.
Your comment suggested you didn't install and run from Epic.
Sounds like the game is working now, so that's the important part.
Any idea how to recover my other games though?

Sorry, I don't know enough about the Epic launcher to say for sure. (This is not an Epic Games forum.) I suggest you google something like "epic games installed locally not showing in library".
Okay, I'll do that and accept what worked as the solution, thanks man. 🙂
Hi man I got onto Epic about why my games no longer seem installed and they recommended that I contact EA Support just to know if your EA account is already linked to your Epic account, is there any way for you to check if it's linked properly?
- DarthFDG2 years agoHero+
You would need to contact EA support directly for that.
Okay, I will attempt to do that, thanks again. 🙂
Any solutions?
Well I fixed this problem but created a bigger one with the Epic launcher in the process. xD

@TheBillbo_TTV Care to share how you fixed "this problem"?
EA sux

I literally followed this step by step. I tried that. Worked once, but then right back to not working.
It's something to do with purchasing the game through Steam.
- @Zacharyb36
I didn't get it on steam though, it was a free to add to library game I got on epic. It has to be booted up in Epic and then the EA launcher which might be the issue.
I never had any issues when it was Origin with any of my games. lol
