Re: Heroes showdown - bug score and end of round

@Naoecla

I'll try to separate parts of your report so to understand it better and hopefully be able to tell you what's intended and what's truly a BUG. BTW kudos to you and to so many others that still believe coming here and reporting will make EA/DICE do anything to fix this mess. I can't do much other then explaining how this game works.

Sometimes the round just ends up suddenly and the score increases itself without even playing. Happened to me several times. Today we were playing and suddenly the round stopped saying both teams got 1 point while both teams still had players alive. The score was of 2v1 at the end of this round, while we hadn't played before since it was the first round. It also happened to me to start a game with an initial score for each team while we hadn't actually even started playing...

Ok, you mentioned this is in Heroes Vs Villains mode, but by your description this feels more like a Hero Showdown issue instead of a Heroes Vs. Villains issue. Can you confirm it? Hero Showdown is a 2v2 mode where each player picks a hero and the game is divided in rounds. You win a round by killing both enemies. After 3 rounds are won by any team, game is over. Heroes Vs. Villains OTOH is a 4v4 mode where each player picks a hero and the first team to accumulate 35 deaths loses.

This score you mention I believe is the round score of Hero Showdown. If so, then this is a known BUG, and I believe it's a server issue. I've already encountered this twice. My suggestion is to just leave the lobby and search for another one. Faulty lobbies also plague Heroes Vs. Villains by locking certain characters, locking all non default skins, rendering all card customization irrelevant, and not allowing you to use emotes. Only way to fix it there is to find a new lobby as well.

the score is updated before the game starts or sometimes at the end of a round which stops abruptly, while the score actually does not correspond to an actual round played by the players...

If this is the Hero Showdown score, then the above explanation will also fit for this part. However I'd like to point out that individual scores (those you can see in the scoreboard by pressing TAB) can still increase after a match is over or before any players can control their characters. This is due to passive abilities taking effect while players can't control their characters (be it because the match hasn't started yet, or because it's already over). I don't think this is the issue you're exposing here, but I thought it was worth mentioning it.

Again, I think you're referring to Hero Showdown, and if so, my first answer will cover this as well. However, in Heroes Vs Villains, a match can end abruptly if all the enemy team suddenly leaves. This can be misleading as new players may join after this is triggered, which might give the impression the other team still had players. After a match is triggered to end and move to the End of Round screen, players can still join and the others can still check this by bringing the scoreboard up.

I hope these explanations help you in any way. If there's something you still want to discuss here, feel free to tag/ask me.
