Re: Nerf freeze & mind trick

One second would be extremely low. The point of Rey's mind trick is to mess up your controls, so one second would mean what? 1-2 steps back? Totally useless. Also, you weren't exactly "forced" backwards, you just kept pressing forward while knowing you are under the effect.

In the case of freeze, I kind of agree. After the new patch, it seemed to me that it became noticeably long. Still, one second would be a bit too low for this ability aswell.

    Hello @xeriphin

Heroes and villains should be balanced out, so they have an equal chance of winning in a certain fight. Rey has an ability to confuse other players, but this does nothing more than that: confuse players. Opponents can easily counter this effect by jumping or rolling away, and the effect can even be deflected by dodging or blocked with a saber. Instead of said ability, for example, Han has an ability which knocks players over and does a lot of damage to them (the detonate charge). It is therefore that Rey has a pretty weak ability on its own (the same for freeze).

They do not do any damage, whatsoever, can both be deflected by every character. They can only be deadly if the opponent makes a mistake (rolls into the void) or the ability is combined with other abilities (dash strike, saber throw).

It is not likely they will ever change the ability into a 1 second duration, which is just useless. Why would you stun someone for 1 second, or confuse them for 1 second. If you compare that with other abilites from other heroes, which do lots and lots of damage, then the freeze and mind trick are well balanced.

I think you should just practice against these characters, and see if you can dodge them and play around.
