Re: Won't launch after using mods SWBFII

I have had this same issue, when I try to mount mods on battlefront 2 from the EA app, my game breaks irreversibly and without fail. I can quite literally never play battlefront 2 again unless I back up my entire system and clean boot it, which I have done once and I almost lost all of my computer data. I have almost fully given up on the game, using Battlefront Plus or 2022 was the only reason I redownloaded battlefront 2 to play on my PC. I followed all mod instructons to the letter, and without fail, I have tried every single fix and config option that is available on the internet. Redownloading the game doesn't work, restarting the PC doesn't work, redownloading EA itself doesn't work, clearing every single trace of EA, BF2, and all mods off my system and then trying to cleanly install and run the game normally doesn't work. I can never play this video game again without risking my data and having to spend days redownloading and configuring my whole computer system, and the best part, I HAVE GOT NO HELP. I have replied to comments, posted tickets of my own, done everything shy of trying to directly contact EA to get an answer, absolute crickets, not a single response. Best thing I have seen is other users essentially telling me tough luck. I don't know what makes my computer different from the thousands of other's who play the game modded, and it angers me to no end because I have a genuine passion for the Star Wars universe, Modding communities, and this video game franchise as a whole.

I'm in the same boat as you, man. I have done literally everything, but I still can't get the damn game to launch. Although, when I tried to do mods on my other pc, the mods didn't work, but the game still launched. Now on my new pc, the mods don't work and the game doesn't launch.

untrue, i have had the same problem with my game when trying to get mods. However, i have sorted it now although it was very stressful. if the game wont start at all its usually cus the cloud date cant sync or has been tampered with, try downloading Frosty Fix and then doing your mods of that? if the mods is the problem that is. Alternatively you could watch a youtube tutorial im pretty sure thats what i did and it just worked by the luck of it. i have had many problems with modding battlefront but ive never had to redownload or reset windows for it to fix.

  • For those who do not know what folder to remove:
    Go to C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts.

    Delete the Electronic Apps Folder.

    You Are Welcome
