Honestly, this will probably add more bugs than they fix, like 50% of all other patches in this game's lifetime.

- 5 years ago@RogueZeroRendar Wasn’t Guillaume the person who gave Vader 80% damage reduction when he meant to give Vader 20 percent? I hope it makes a difference.

I believe it was, as he typically makes the decisions regarding hero abilities. Ivsite hope they change Vader being able to choke, jump, block and attack at the same time. It's the most ridiculous and overpowered thing. He needs to lose his CC immunity or give the immunity to Luke.

@jmercury6120 Please for the love of god don’t give ANYTHING else to Luke, he’s ridiculously broken.
with his instant ability cast times, immediate stam regen, and mobility Luke is quick and often immune to villain abilities.
players can just spam strike + dodge + rush in any stacking order and see Luke bouncing around and taking advantage of the games inability to properly resolve him in the space and time he’s supposed to be in. As a result he has hit detections that he shouldn’t and abilities not affecting him when they should.
Luke can essentially just spam, unchecked, his way through opponents. He requires no skill at this point, just mash up those 3 in combo and you’re a Luke-nado of kill streaks against other villains.

I'm not disagreeing with your statement about Luke. Vader is even noobier, at least in HvV. I don't want Luke to get anything else but Vader's choke is out of control with everything you can do.

@jmercury6120 Sorry, I don’t mean to @ you twice I didn’t see both posts.
I mean, yes; he “can” do a lot but there’s a reason why. He needs to be able to deflect because of the buffs given to blaster users; he also needs a degree of mobility because, in past, the go to strat for Vader was always “wait until he chokes and then have 2 or 3 heroes mele him”. Yes Vader gets a degree of damage reduction but two saber users pelting him will melt him easily. The idea being that using choke shouldn’t present a greater risk than reward for Vader; and I agree with that logic. (Currently Kylo’s frenzy suffers from the opposite of this).
perhaps Vader shouldn’t be able to jump but he should be able to move and defend himself; especially when you consider that many HvV lobbies are all random players whereby you don’t get that cooperative play style.
Also keep in mind that if you aren’t using the buff stat card for Vader’s choke, it’s VERY easy for opponents to get out of it and it’s now easier to dodge / evade and avoid its affect all together. There’s pros & * there. Like many aspects of this game with all the updates the Devs significantly changed the overall play style of the game and if I’m honest, I can’t say it was for the better but there are strats to combat Vader’s choke; mainly, be mobile.

Luke just seems really awkward to use. He doesn’t really have an strategy or synergy with his abilities. With Luke, its just slice and dodge and dash and push and slice and dodge and push and slice and dash. At least Grievous is built with a core style: damage. What’s Luke’s? Pushing with the force?
He just doesn’t work on aesthetic grounds. Especially since his saber swings look like a kid swinging at a piñata with a baseball bat.

@Commander_Ney0 It’s 100% true! Luke is just broken and with no real direction. Players just spam any combination of swing + dodge + rush and he’s always on the move more-so than what the game can resolve so he’s, in a sense, untouchable if that’s properly exploited.
You can see players gravitating toward the most broken characters all the time now, especially in HvV
The sensitivity is incredibly annoying because it just contributes to the already existing clumsy hit detection, and it’s not just with GG; Players are registering hits while striking along side of you and simply cranking your sensitivity up can net someone strikes that they, in truth, shouldn’t get.
