Star wars battlefront 2 xbox gold problem

I bought xbox gold to play online but the game cant find it it keeps telling me to buy gold

    @895867597 I checked your account and can see that according to the Xbox Gamertag site you Xbox Membership is Silver.

    In order to play online you will need to have Xbox Live.

@895867597 Not trying to palm you off, just offering you the best way to get to the bottom of this. The error asking you to get gold pops up now and again for some Xbox users and the quickest and easiest way to get it sorted is to contact Microsoft. They can look into your Xbox account and see if there are any issues.

i am pretty sure i am gold and i contacted microsoft and they weren't able to resolve my issue

    I had the same issue and contacted xbox support live chat service. They refreshed my xbox gold membership and it solved the problem.
