Star Wars Battlefront 2

Hi. I bought  Battlefront 2 the other day, and I finally got the opportunity to play it. I tried to connect to the EA servers today, and it says "Sorry, this account is not able to play online. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information." My account is not under 13, and I have Xbox Live Gold. What's the problem?

    Hi there, @Colin_R17

Have you checked your account settings to make sure it's able to play multiplayer games? Look under Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy. Here, you should have Adult defaults selected or go into View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer and make sure Allow is chosen under 'You can join multiplayer games'. If that is enabled, I'd recommend contacting an advisor to see if there are any issues with your account. You can either open a case here: http://bit.ly/EA_Contact_Us or contact @EAHelp through Twitter.

  • Hi. My account settings are all set to multiplayer. I did that over a year ago when I was trying to play Fortnite. I contacted an advisor. I requested a call, so they will apparently call in 3-3.5 hours. Thanks for trying to help. It is really frustrating that I bought a game with my Christmas money that I can’t even play!

That error normally means you're on an underage account. An advisor will be able to check for sure. You may be able to get a faster response contact @EAHelp through Twitter though.

  • My account was underaged, because I’m 12, but I changed my birthdate to 1980 to see if I could play. I got the same error message.

If your age is under 13, you won't be able to play online. Even if you change the date on your account. You would need to contact a live support advisor here to get your date of birth changed: http://bit.ly/EA_Contact_Us. However, they won't update your birthday without properly verifying it. Most likely you'll just need to wait for your birthday.
