I have tried and repaired my game (didn't work) and I have tried just waiting for it to load (which hasn't after a couple of hours). I am not sure what to do as of now. Perhaps it has something to do with a current setting? But I can not be definite. If anyone has the same problem, please let me know. (I want to make sure I'm not the only one). And if anyone knows how to fix this please do tell me how. I see that in the Update Notes it says "Added pre-compilation of shaders on DX12 to reduce stutter during gameplay. This can be seen in the loading screens when this process takes place." However, I can NOT run my game WITHOUT Dx12. I attached an image of what my problem looks like.

I have 32 GB of memory, Ryzen 2700x and a 1080TI now so no worries 🙂

Here's how to fix the issue, although the game must be ran in dx11. dx12 is causing a memory leak at startup. Go to C:\users\your windows account name\Documents, then go to STAR WARS Battlefront II\settings. Choose to open BootOptions with notepad, and you'll see "GstRender.EnableDx12 1" at the start of the document. Change that one to a zero to get "GstRender.EnableDx12 0", save and start the game.After doing this the game should start up normally without issues. Just one thing...go to graphics settings in game and disable dx12. Otherwise it will re-enable after you close the game

I'm having the same problem on my PC. I've repaired twice, still the same problem. No controller connected to my PC, just the mouse.

@drowsy1234 I tried this, and the game did not run at all (It was just a black screen). For some reason, my system must have Dx12 on to run the game.

@TheSplynncryth I have the Intel(R) HD Graphics 620. So, I don't have AMD or Nvidia.

Hey, @yamodramo You are not meeting the minimum spec for SWBF2 unfortunate you need a dedicated graphics card in order to play the game.

Hey @JoJoseph927 We could have made change that made stop working for you or something else got updated on your side. As long it's under the minimum requirements of the game it's not guaranteed to work and that can happen when a game updates. What I can do for you is to try to get it to work but is not guaranteed as long as its under the minimum requirements.

Hi,
DX12, ultra + 18 Gb RAM and it crashed.
I put Windows virtual memory to 20Gb and it's fixed.
I didn't try any other size as it works.
My config : Alienware aurora R1 (2010), I7 920 OC 3,8Ghz, Sapphire R9 290 oc 1000mhz, 18 GB RAM 1600, SSD 1Tb raid 1 + SSD 64Gb for Windows.

@drowsy1234 8GB RAM is too low for a gaming rig. I have an rx 580 8GB with 16GB RAM and playing this game almost always consumes about 9GB of RAM. I can also play with DX12 no problem. So it's not as much a memory leak as it is low RAM to begin with. Also, RAM prices are ridiculously low these days. Might be worth upgrading.

I am having this problem too! I tried to delete Orgin and Star Wars Battlefront 2, that didn't work. I even tried a complete computer reset and that didn't work after I redownload everything. Is there any fix?
