Like you i as well got issues with extreme stuttering in any game mode.Any game mode i enter for next 3-5 mins my game turns into slideshow on my rig, granted rig aint anythin OP but even before i managed to play game normally... Now its constant stutter...after that game normalizes and its fine, but start is always bad - also is accessing any menus or opening lootboxes. I wonder when this will be adressed by both DEV's and gpu vendors, cuz its gettin ridiculous.
Whats worse is i have been relentless at reporting same issue on my own thread on AMD's website for over a month and half now.... its really dumb that there is no fix after so much time has passed.... For most people (on AMD's card) stutter seems to be eliminated by going back to 17.7.2 July drivers (wich seems to fix issue for me, reason why i go that way back is cuz most other games i play dont work post that patch for me (crashing when doin a certain action, freezing etc), however BF2 seems to be working fine). Also another possible fix in case it wasnt mention could be for some of you to try turnin HBAO off to something else (yes i know it drops graphic quallity alot but for me it did help some stutter issues but not all), other is to try within drivers play with AMD Shader Cache on/off. Unfortunatelly thats all i came across in talk with other users who have simmiliar or better systems or gpu's that i do on AMD side. Nvidia wise i know for a fact that my friend who owns 1080 Ti haves almost same issues that i do on much better system then i do. So i wonder how much of this is both GPU vendor and dev's problem now... Hope it helped at least someone...
in case someone wonders of a rig its nothin spectacular but prior to all of this i could run game with decent amount of fps with normal settings (nothin on ultra or anythin like that):
Intel i5 4460
AMD RX 470 4GB
ASUS H97 Plus
24 GB DDR3 Kingston HyperX RAM
600W PSU
