unable to connect to ea servers to activate battlefront 2

Loved Battlefront 2 on console. Haven't played in years. Saw it was coming back to life again decided to buy it, but every time i try to load it up it says this, "we are unable to connect to ea serve...

You will not be able to play as your video card (GPU) does not have the minimum of 2GB VRAM.
