Various Blue Screens; No Start of SWBF2; etc.

Installed the game on Thursday, December 14th.

1) Could not play the game, as instant crashes appeared.

Changing to borderless windows helped.

Still can not play in full screen mode.

2) While playing from time to time, I get blue screens.

Various failure codes. 4-5 bluescreens and restarts in 2 hours with 4-5 various failure codes.

Sometimes I get the blue screens in Online Matches. Sometimes in Campaign.

Sometimes in this cut screnes from the campaign.

My Spec:

i7 8700k

Asus Strix 1080 ti

2x8gb ddr4 3200 cl14 Ram

SSDs

Windows 10 Pro

Battlefield 1 works like a charm.

Fifa 18 works like a charm.

Nba 2k18 works like a charm.

Overwatch works like a charm.

CoD WW2 works like a charm.

Witcher 3 works like a charm.

Realbench Stresstest 2 hours, no error.

Memtest x64 2 hours, no error.

AIDA Stress CPU FPU Cache, Memory, no error.

3d Mark Firestrike Ultra Stress test, no error.

Various Benchmarks no error.

But SW BF2 is not playable for me.

 

I repaired the game a few times. Set "run as administrator".

Removed the data from "documents", repaired again etc..

I disabled origin in the game.

Nothing helps.

I even increased the voltage of CPU and Memory as I thought it might be a problem with it. Did not help.

As you see above, everything else is running perfectly fine. Every game, bench and stresstest.

Even BF1, which is like "similar" in graphics and engine etc. Does not matter if i play in ultra, medium or low.

BF1 works perfect in Single and Multiplayer.

Any1 with similar problems?

Game just * developed? What could it be?

    I know this topic is quite old , however i only bought the game and had similar problems.

    Random crashes also in STBF1 and Battlefield.

    Could not found the answer, every solution failed in long run (we talking max few hours).

    Error I was getting : IRQL not LESS or EQUAL- BSOD.

    What i did though is I switched SMT(HT) in bios for my Ryzen 5 and since I didn't see the issue occurred again.

    Tested it for last 2 days and smooth 140+ fps Ultra 1440p on Gtx1070 and Ryzen3600.

    Hopefully it'll help some of the guys with similar problem.

    I am having the same issue. PC spec above recommended, all other games play fine without issue. Temps / performance under load is rock solid. Getting different BSODs. Freezing and PC resetting without BSOD.

    I have tried the following without success:

    1. Reinstallation of GPU / Sound Card / Chipset drivers. Rolled back to older versions / clean install etc
    2. Alteration of "Power Management Mode" within GPU settings from "Optimal" to "Max Performance"
    3. Alteration to Virtual Memory / Paging File
    4. Uninstalled Nvidia Experience
    5. Game running in full screen / borderless / window
    6. Moved SWBF2 folder to desktop and run Origin repair
    7. Reinstallation of RAM / GPU / Sound Card
    8. Disabled / Enabled DX12
    9. Run as Admin
    10. 10 million different graphical settings in game / Vsync on and off etc
    11. Complete reinstallation of the game
    12. %Program Data% / %App Data% cleared

    Guess this game needs to go on the heap until fixes / improvements are made. Next patch perhaps? At least it means I will talk to the wife over Christmas, not all bad.

    here are solutions for Windows 10 Users in version 1709 or 1703,

    for crash problems when launching the game, with Alt + Tab,

    during loading or at the end of a game :

    If disable the Game Bar doesn't work, follow the other tips in the post,

    Update the Motherboard on manufacturer's website, or with this website : https://www.driverscloud.com/en/start

    Uninstall GeForce Experience and AMD Gaming Evolved (Raptr).

    And disable the most possible programs before playing !

    Hi and thanks for your respond @MisterGarzok.

    1) Deactivated this Win10-Gaming-Stuff and can play now in full screen.

    2) No solution yet. Still getting Blue Screens. Various error codes and situation where it happens.

    I installed the newset chipset driver and other drivers from my motherboard. Asrock z370 Taichi.
    First I played and it worked for like 30mins, I thought everything nice now. Made a break and came back to play 2 hours later = First move in game = blue screen.

    I deactivated the capture mode from gf experience, but did not uninstall it, as I usually use it to capture videos.

    Played now 1 hours battlefield 1 without problems, even captured videos.
    Now going for Fifa 18.
    SW BF 2 still not OK for me. It's a shame, a big AAA game developed like this..

    Hi there, 

    I echo Caramelitto's comments.

    I have tried every solution in the attached link with no success. 

    I might add that I had zero problems before the patch. I think this points to the issue in all honesty.

    I tried now following things.

    Changed Ram Speeds, from Stock to different ones. NOK

    Disabled all other programs (msi afterburner e.g.). NOK

    Changed to Borderless again. NOK

    Installed the NV Drivers again as "new", so from scratch. Uninstalled everything else, except the Graphics Drivers, Physx and HDMI Audio. 3d Vision, GF Experience etc uninstalled. NOK

    Played around with in game settings. NOK

    Sometimes 30-40min playing is no problem, but then random blue screens.

    It's really disgusting that a fully new system, fully compatible and working with any other software, even ultimate stress tests, cannot run this game.

    When the game is running, it looks so fkn fantastic! Want to play the campaign and enjoy it. Help me.

    Hi Caramelitto, 

    I have run out of fixes to try and now just waiting for the next patch to solve what is clearly a coding issue. Its a shame when £1-2K gaming rigs, built by people who take care of their systems and know enough to troubleshoot cant get a brand new title to run reliably. 

    For a laugh I have knocked together the following from pity parts to see if I can duplicate the issue. Windows 7 SP1, i5-6600K, 8 Gig Corsair RAM and a RX 460. Had these laying about. I will let you know what happens.

    Right now I think that the problem is within Win 10 Build 1709.

    As I mentioned above..everything else is working. Not just some games, but similar developed games like BF1 and various stresstests etc.

    So your win7 rig should run it if I am right.

    Nobody else with similar issues?

    Tried now with the same machine on W7 and W10. Complete rebuilds with full driver updates, minimal additional installs and ever possible setting pairing.

    This is a complete joke.

    I will be having a refund on this garbage.
