Where are those Droidekas? Deployment - Latest Info [update June 27th]

Hello there,

Wanted to drop you a quick note to give you some updates on today's update deployment. We had some initial issues with stamina values as well as the ticket counter in HvV. Both of these were fixed earlier on this afternoon via some server side tweaks.

The primary issue that we are currently tracking revolves around a crash that is occurring within Capital Supremacy while playing on Naboo. We know that this is affecting all three platforms and happens during the transition phase between ground and ship.

We're currently working to resolve the issue and will bring you updates as soon as we have it.

Outside of this, we are not currently tracking any other significant issues, but as always, if you experience anything unexpected, please do let us know

UPDATE (27/06/2019)

We are going to make some backend tweaks to Capital Supremacy.

We know the issue is caused during the transition between the ground and ship phase, as a result we are extending the length of the ground phase and shortening the ship phase. We are aware that defence of your Capital Ship will now be more difficult, which is a by-product of this.

The Changes

  • Increase tickets required on the ground phase from 50 to 100
  • Reduce bomb timer to 20 seconds, down from 100
  • Ticket bonus for boarding is up to 3 per boarding person, up from 1

These changes will start being deployed across our live servers at 12:00 CEST, in just over an hours time from the time of this post. We're still working on a fix for the overall issue but we hope this will help ease the frustration in the interim.

@EA_Ataashi 50 to100 tickets it sucks! The first team who gets in the Dreadnought, It won at 98%. With 100 tickets you have to add points C and D with A and B into the Dreadnought.
  • It warms my heart to see that you guys still put so much effort in the game, please keep doing your job because i think a big part of the star wars community loves it.

Finally got to play on Naboo yesterday and I've got to give you a shoutout for the great job you did on the map.

    I barely recognized it!  👍

@EA_Ataashi   Hi. Platform Xbox one X

Just letting you know The problem on Naboo in Capital Supremacy still exists. After the Drodeka update, the game crashed every time in the transition phase of CS Naboo. I know you were aware of this problem and it appeared to be fixed by the next day(???). I played the next 2 days without any problem. Then last night was playing Naboo and transitioned to the capital ship OK but did not achieve all the objectives and returned to the surface to start the ground phase again. Completed that and was transitioning back to the Cap Ship when the game crashed back to the Xbox dashboard (loud buzz from speakers, screen froze then crashed to Xbox home screen). I had to relaunch and then check Career Tab as I had achieved an Infiltrator milestone. That was showing as completed but still stuck in it's original position, hilighted yellow with corner arrow. Obviously I hadn't been awarded the credits and could do nothing about it. Also any XP's and credits (game nearly at the end) were lost.

This also brings me to another point. Since you changed the Cap Supremacy reinforcement from 50 to 100 the game has become less ( for me ) enjoyable. When it was at 50, it was challenging to get al the Cap ship objectives in one go hence the map being played could last for a couple of hours (one I played went for 21/2 hours and I enjoyed every moment of the battles ). Now the game time is almost comparable to that of GA matches. Teams going on Cap Ships with 100 reinforcements plus as many as 25 additional troops are almost impossible to stop, generally splitting into 2 groups, attacking both objectives at the same time. I liked the longer games as I did not have to spend a portion of my time waiting for matchmaking, lobbies to fill and maps to change. Some will like the shorter matches and I respect that. Maybe, to please every one, test the waters with the reinforcement numbers (try 75 ) so that a happy medium is reached for all.

  • In GA was very hard for the Separatists to win in Geonosis Map in second phase. Now with the TX-130 it's impossible. Hoth Map, Naboo Kasshyk and Crait are almost impossible to win for defending team in first phase, Capital Supremacy with 100 and more tickets is at 99% impossible to win for defending team in spaceship: they are useless phases. BF 2015 was more balanced in all maps for defending and offensive team. Let's return to 50+ tickets in CS and remove cross era Heroes in GA. Stop too see Anakin vs Darth Vader, there's HvsV for this.

  • The tickets from 50 - 100 is nice because I have always enjoy playing on the ground phase. However, when boarding the Dreadnought or Venator, the 2nd phase (placing the bombs) is too short because it gives the defending team no chance to defend. 20 sec to detonate is way too short. In my opinion, the bomb detonation time should be reverted back to the way it was (to give the defending team a fighting chance), keep the tickets at 100 so more ground time to enjoy the maps, and add a match timer for 30 minutes since a lot of players don't like playing for 2 to 5 hours long.

If a 30 minute match timer is added, the way to determine the winning team is based on how far the team reached. Say for example, Clones (boarding the Dreadnought) never passed the first part of the ship phase, but the Separatists (boarding the Venator) passed the first part and have only detonated one of the two objectives in second part of the phase and the 30 minute timer ends. The winner should be the Separatists. But, if both teams reached part two of the second phase and both teams each got one of the two objectives and the timer ends, the match is considered a draw. This way we can keep the matches a bit more interesting and alive.

As for matchmaking, waiting for players can be a pain (especially finding empty lobbies) depending the time zone and how active players are for the server you are in. I feel like AI should be added to fill in those spots and when a player is looking for a lobby, the AIs can be replaced by an actual player. Besides, the AIs play very well in game and are pretty intense when outnumbered by them. This is just an opinion and I hope EA/Dice will take this into consideration. Thanks!
