Where is this pay to win?

After a good year of playing the game I can wholeheartedly say “pay to win” is still a thing with this franchise. I’m not stating that you can still pay to win but rather the enhancements of the people that paid before it was taken out are still there making it really unfair to the general population. So EA if you are reading this I will gladly pay for gun enhancements, trooper enhancements, hero enhancements and passive enhancements that make your jet trooper tear through B2 Supper Battle Droids like tissue paper.

Seeing a lot of people here argue that the lootboxes from the games pre-launch weren't pay-to-win, they were.

Either way it's irrelevant. There is no pay to win now and there has been none for over 2 years. Grinding cards and weapons only takes a couple hours per class, and they barely effect gameplay anyway. op seems like a noob trying to find something to blame.

I originally got this game for the Campaign, and had little to no desire for playing in the Multiplayer modes, especially after trying them out as a noob and getting owned by experienced players with far better Star Cards and Weapons than I had access to. It wasn't until Co-Op Mode was added that I began playing in Multiplayer. But by playing in Co-Op, not only did I work through the progression system and unlock better Star Cards and Weapons, I also improved my overall skill at the game. When I was defeated in PvP modes, I paid attention to what loadout the player who defeated me was using, and started seeing trends which helped me to determine which Star Cards were the most advantageous to use.

The simple fact of the matter is that the Multiplayer modes in this game have a steep learning curve early on, but as you work through the progression and unlock better equipment, the game begins to open itself up to you quite nicely. And as others have said, any advantage gained by purchasing the game at launch was short-lived, and no longer a factor at this point in the game's life.
