@xProdicate True, saber users exploit bad mechanics but just like blaster users they think this is good & normal gameplay because the Devs left the game in a state of imbalanced garbage and these players don’t know any better.
In general, experienced saber player vs experienced blaster user will see the blaster character at an advantage (depending on character chosen) because of how over powered they now are.
Because you can’t apply any legit match making you’re going to get clumsy feeling matches based on who you have on your squad and how well the play with you versus how they may just play for themselves.

@VetteC5RXIt’s just lazy and bad imo. While trying to make a casual game for noobs they instead ended up making a game that caters to rolling ball parties/premades. Most shooter MP games don’t reward stupidity and bad gameplay like this one does. Still the big mistake is it rewards the premades,(bowling ball style), and throws the poor noobs or solos under the bus.
An example is when so many toned people group up around Finn it in general to overpower, in many other games you would risk a team wipe.

@xProdicateFor sure! .. IMO it throws good players under the bus via bad mechanics and bad logic so as to accommodate FOR noobs and stupidity / bag gameplay.
The community managers basically told me to pound sand but I did game testing after TROS update and it appeared to me, from that testing, that the tiered progression system was more than what was released in the patch notes.
myself and others saw measurable difference in how game mechanics behaved depending on character or class level that was represented. The testing indicated that players of a lower class displayed beneficial attributes (ie swing speeds, hit recognition, shots per second, etc). Not night & day difference but very clearly identifiable.
prior to TROS update new players were crying on the other EA Star Wars forums about getting steam rolled. Rather than learning to play the game, I felt as though the Devs slid in a mechanic to create a handicap to try and provide balance seeing as TROS release was going to draw new or returning players.
I posed this question on a thread and it was quickly locked. Hmmm. Not directly answered, not “hey we’ll ask and see what the deal is” .. locked.
I think some of that has been walked back since then but occasionally I’ll play test as I have characters and classes I don’t use so I can compare with friends and record difference and some still appear to exist.
either way; even with that aside; the logic as well as the mechanics are clumsy and poorly thought out and it’s crazy that they left the game in this state and then think we’re all going to line up to buy future EA titles.
