Amazon often doesn't give but digital preorders until they know that they have the physical games in stock. Probably has to do with them desiring to avoid overbooking. I'm pretty sure the game does get a physical release, it just doesn't seem to be available on Amazon right now.

Thank you for this additional information. In the US you can pre-order physical disc with GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart.com.

Business writing 101 example right there. Never tell the customer they **can't** do something, and always reverse a *can't* to a can.
The question is.... why **can't** we preorder a PS4 physical copy from Amazon? I do not have a Best Buy near me, and I refuse to do business with GameStop and Walmart. If I cannot pre-order a physical copy from Amazon, then I guess I wont be getting this game.
if thats true well stuff like that encourages me to buy used as there are tons of other great games to chose from, still unavailable on amazon which is a bummer due to day of release shipping etc
