Xbox 360 controller not functioning properly anymore in game
Hi Everyone,
Until a few days ago, if I turned on my wireless 360 controller while playing Battlefront II, it would switch over to the default controller scheme and let me navigate the menus / do ship combat with it. Now, whenever I turn on the controller, the mouse pointer stays on the screen, and it can be moved around with the right thumbstick of the controller. As I navigate the menus, it keeps trying to revert back to a keyboard/mouse setup. This carries over into the actual gameplay itself, as when I'm flying ships, if I touch the right thumbstick, it thinks I'm moving the mouse and it goes completely out of control, making it unusable.
Anyone run into this issue? I reinstalled the controller drivers, tried turning on the controller before launching the game, and it still persists. I'm on Windows 10.
- Figured it out. Apparently I turned on xbox controller configuration support for Steam which allows your controller to manipulate your mouse cursor in and out of games. I disabled it and it fixed the issue.
