XBOX ONE LAGGING - BATTLEFRONT II

For the past week or so, Battlefront II has been nearly unplayable.  The lag is completely ridiculous.  If I am standing perfectly still, everything is working perfectly.  However, as soon as I move, every few seconds I'll be teleported back to the place I was a few seconds before. It used to be just a mere nuisance but recently it has teleported me directly into an enemy's line of fire, or right into an exploding grenade. I am sure this has been asked already but I would really love a solution to this problem because it has rendered my favorite game almost completely unplayable. Thank you!

That's probably the issue then. Wireless is unreliable and prone to disconnects/lag. Especially when the signal has to travel through walls and/or floors. This gets worse when there are other devices sharing the same connection. It's worse still when anyone is streaming media while you're playing. Until you get wired, or at a minimum, closer to the router, this will continue to happen. You can try changing the wireless channel you're using. That may help. Also, you could try opening the ports for Battlefront 2. They are listed here: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/. You can get some help with this at www.portforward.com.

Something else that has worked for many is to get a Powerline adapter. It's possible that could be a good solution.

You can power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. This is different than clearing the alternate MAC address. Both should be tried.

  • I have tried both of these possible solutions and both yielded zero results. I am beginning to think that playing Battlefront 2 going forward will be impossible as it seems I am running out of solutions. The strange thing is that this had just begun happening last week when I have been playing the game since a few months after launch in early 2018. Switching to a wired connection will unfortunately not be possible in my house as I am not the homeowner. Is there anything else I could possibly try?
