BD 1 underwater chests bug

Summarize your bug First of all, I'm on PC so i don't know if this happens on other platforms, but in short, you know how BD 1 going inside chests when you open them? Well I'm pretty sure that he is also supposed to go inside underwater chests when you open them given the fact that it plays an animation for it where the chest opens up briefly and then shakes a little and then it fully opens kind of like when you open a chest on the ground briefly then BD 1 jumps in and then comes out and leaves the chest fully open afterwards. Even Cal sometimes says a dialogue like "what you find BD 1?" After getting whatever was on an underwater chest. However BD 1 just stays on your back when you open up underwater chests. I'm pretty sure this is a bug or something given all those facts that i stated. It really doesn't affect the chests or what you get from them, but i did notice it and thought i should report it.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just try opening underwater chests once you get the rebreather for underwater exploration and you'll notice that BD 1 stays on Cal's back even though I'm pretty sure that he's supposed to go in the chests.
What happens when the bug occurs? BD 1 stays on your back instead of going inside of any underwater chests
What do you expect to see? BD 1 going inside underwater chests like he's supposed to.
