I'm having the same issue. My friend is on PS4 and I'm on PC (Steam). We both have entered each other's EA IDs but it keeps telling us "Invitation Failed"
- @VegasBorn92 Hope they say something about this soon!
Same issue. Running on steam. Sounds like an origin login is supposed to pop up when I start, but I never get it. When I try to invite a friend using EA ID, it fails instantly.
Me too. I'm playing on Steam, trying to invite my friend on Xbox. I did login to EA using my Origin email/password when the game launched, and have shared my EA ID with my friend. He gets invitation failed as a message when he attempts to invite me.
We looked up his EA login in game (seems to just match his Xbox login name) and I tried to add him and also got "invitation failed" as well. Some help on this issue would be great, we had hoped to play together tonight.
Same here. I'm playing on Origin, friends on steam. They can see me in "social" I can not see them or add them.
I'm running on origin. In squadrons when I try to invite people, i only see "Ea Friends" "Origin Friends" and "Blocked". I do not see any of my steam friends online. Tried linking accounts and nothing works. Feels bad.
I bought Star Wars: Squadrons a couple days ago, and am having problems. I have been able to play exactly one match online. I play with my husband and stepson, and neither of them can send me invites, nor can I ever find a match, even using the "Quick Match" option. I can send them invites, but if I am in the squad, we also cannot get into a match. I have made sure it's allowed through the firewall and my ports are open, but I'm not sure what could possibly be wrong. The only thing I changed after the first match was, I hooked up my Oculus Rift and played a tutorial in VR, that I didn't even finish because it appeared to be bugged (Star Destroyer was down to 1HP and would not be destroyed). After that I have not been able to connect, even with all of my Rift software turned off. I also opened Origin and Squadrons as administrator, still could not get invites (They got the notice that the invite could not be sent). I really want to play this game in multiplayer, so a solution would be greatly appreciated
So I figured it out. I had mistakenly turned off Crossplay. Apparently you can't even JOIN A GROUP WITH someone who has that turned on if yours is off.
thank god I thought I was the only one having the issue, have you heard anything about it from EA yet?
