Black graphics on snow map

Hi recently I´ve been having issues with the snow maps, I play Blast and when I´m on a snow map all I see is black spots instead of mountains, if I'm in a cave everything is fine but outside is unplayable, is anyone else having that issue?

AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB that´s my graphic card

  • Install this beta driver and it should fix the problem.

I'm guessing if you bought the computer with such a graphics card, your PC is 64bit.

I'm pretty positive this will fix the issue for you, as it has fixed many graphic problems for many people including me.

    good luck,

    Dave

You seem to be right as it is written in the update description:

Resolved Issues with the AMD Radeon Crimson Edition Beta Update

    • [82050] Star Wars™: Battlefront - Snow flickers in a few locations in the game
    • [82240] Star Wars™: Battlefront - Sky rendering may be broken in some game locations

I just need to figure out how to install beta drivers 😃

  • I posted two links. Depending on what your computers architecture is. 32 or 64bit. Pick the correct link and download that file. It'd the official AMD beta driver installer and just follow the steps.

Wasting time with that 32-bit business (and adding to confusion).  The game itself requires a 64-bit OS, which in its own turn, requires a 64 bit hardware system, and the game requires a Quad Core, none of which existed in any elderly 32-bit PC Wintel hardware that I can recall.

  • Did you try setting the lighting in graphic options to medium? That might help while a better hotfix is pushed out by AMD

Ah yes you're right, wasn't even considering the requirements just trying to help these people. xD

But this has NOT fixed the issue for me on the BLAST snow map. All other Snow maps e.g. Walker assault all seem fine.

I am also seeing some 'pixelation' (several large square blocks randomly appearing and disappearing) on the character face on the stats page.

Was it a clean installation? AMD's beta drivers should not be installed on top of a release driver.
