My system:
Valve Index
I7-10700k
24GB RAM
RTX 2070 SUPER
All settings turned to max (except HDR and Post Processing which I've turned off - that helped a little).
The issue - while the hangars, cockpits, menus, briefings, etc are perfectly sharp, everything more than 20 meters away is extremely blurry, to the point of being unrecognizable. And the skybox... looks like it has resolution lower than the original X-Wing games.
The image is so blurry the game is borderline unplayable in VR. I've played numerous VR games (Elite Dangerous, Everspace, House of the Dying Sun) and haven't had any of these issues in those games.
Oh, and also the hologram shown during briefings is also blurry to the point of being unreadable. It's weird, being unable to see what is being shown, but seeing the perfectly sharp Ardo's face behind that blue mist.
I7-8700k and gtx 1070. Is anyone on a HTC VIVE not having this issue? I really want to play this game more, but whenever i move my flightstick everything is double vision.
- @1Krozin The issue seems to happen on any headset, just not everybody with those headsets. I have it with the Index.
It is very odd. You can tell it is the game though as you can physically look around, even at things in motion without the issue. It is only when turning the camera via controller/stick, which seems like it's trying to apply an effect that goes wrong.
I wonder if its a post processing issue that carried over from flat that you cannot turn off. Did you try locking your index to 60 like others and see improvement? I dk exactly what people were doing, maybe setting to 120 locked it to 60 or turning v sync on? Maybe theres a fps option for index.
On a vive with same issue, have not tested my oculus yet
I tried turning on v-sync, man did that mess things up. Caused my video feed to start shuddering like crazy.
i7-9700k w 1080TiI also find the resolution of the skybox to be very low in VR. I'm playing on an Oculus Rift CV1.
- @AofI Any Framerates other than 60 seem to result in lots of stutter while turning the ship, making the game basically unplayable in VR (as those HMDs require higher refresh rates). Also, there seems to be some engine internal reprojection going on, which results in ghosting.
I got a refund and really hope EA will fix this
