Bounty Hunter-Question

Hey people,

I have some questions regarding to the bounty hunters. They are really confusing to me and there is no explanation about them from the game at all.

After completing the Tomb of Miktrull (SPOILER-WARNING), I went back to the ice caves and some bounty hunter captured me. After that I completed the next area, including the arena and the final boss was also some bounty hunter. I was able to beat him, but I couldnt scan him. I tried it before entering the ship, but it wasnt possible. A) Should I have been able to scan him?

And the next question: B) After that I went back to Kashyyk and came to the elevator-room where two bounty hunters spawned. I was able to kill one of them, but because im playing the game on highest difficulty the second one killed me, so I wasnt able to scan the one I defeated. Is the scan gone now forever ☹️? Would be weird, because It seems very logical to me, that you could die to the second one, after defeating the first^^.

I tried to respawn, but at the same location there were no bounty hunters. So I decided to leave the planet and "reload" the planet again and at the same spot were again two bounty hunters with different names than before, but I wasnt able to defeat them again, because they seem to be very strong.

So what Ive read about them until now is, that I have to look at specific locations for them to spawn and scan them somehow.

Further questions are: C) How many do I have to scan? D) They spawn randomly at different planets? E) How long do they spawn? Is there a specific story-point where it stops? F) What happens if you kill one and youre not able to scan him? Does he appear again somewhere else?

I like the game very much but this bounty hunter thing seems to be very annoying for people on the highest difficulty, because you need to reload a whole planet for them to spawn, fly from one planet to another and then run to the specific location which is time-consuming and not really fun.

Nevertheless I thank you in advance for answering my questions. Ive heard there seems to be bugs around them and now Im afraid and slightly demotivated xD.

  • @FabS7AR A) Yes.
    B) There should be more bounty hunters, but I'm not sure if there's a finite amount of them.
    C) three, one for each type.
    F) There should be multiple bounty hunter locations throughout the galaxy, so I just recommend exploring until you bump into one.

    I hope this helps!

Whoever designed this thing didnt think this through at all. There are several problems in doing it:

1.) If you die you have to reload a complete planet again which is time consuming

2.) they seem to spawn in A LOT of different locations so even when you travel from one planet to another its possible to find NONE

3.) If you kill the first bounty hunter you cant scan him, because BD cant scan in combat. So in placeing two of them in one location its completely against the task of scanning them.

4.) Which means, if you want to scan BOTH you have to get BOTH to low hp, kill them quickly and then scan them, which on highest difficulty is almost impossible

5.) If you cant scan them fast enough they simply disappear and you have to redo the whole process again (which is like I said very difficulty on its own)

5.) Sometimes their healthbars are glitched so you get only shown one healthbar and you cant switch it, which makes killing them both at low hp much more difficult

6.) Some of them have jetpacks or spawn at areas with cliffs, if they somehow fall down youre screwed and cant scan them, so you have to redo the whole changing the planet-procedure again

It seems to be made as an surprise-mechanic I get that, but if you want to do it at the end of the game for example its just annoying.

Until now I wasnt able to scan one, because they either killed me, disappeared to fast after I killed them or I couldnt find them at the specific locations even after reloading the planet.

Normaly im not the guy who is easily frustrated, but thats annoying as hell compared to everything I did in my gaming history so far xD..
