One fix worked for me: Exit the logitech profiler. It worked then.

Intermittent issue with Logitech extreme 3d pro joystick. Bottom 3 directions on tophat and thumb button 🏈 stop responding not sure if its hardware or the game causing this. I do not have the Logitech software installed for controller management. Windows game controller properties is also not recognizing the buttons with the issue. if i calibrate the joystick the buttons start functioning again, makes me question that its an issue outside of the game. I have been playing squadrons since release and this problem has only developed in the last 2 weeks or so joystick is less than a year old and hardly used prior to this game being released (doubting its 'worn out').
