Training isn't good enough for support ships

So the training mode is nice, but there is no way to train the support ships. In fact, I think this game drops the ball with extensive training for those support ships; the single player campaign does an OK job, but it isn't the same as when we have a squad of our own. I need to practice finding my squad, protecting them with shields, healing them and what-not. All those things are missing with practice because we are alone.

So please, if any EA is listening, help us get better at those support ships!
