@Zampoukos okay thanks for your report, we haven't received any reports about over-heating CPU's but about heavy CPU load. This could be somehow related but would mean that your CPU Cooler is not working properly. Can we get your full DXDIAG report for further investigation:
- Hold down the Windows key and press R on your keyboard.
- In the Run box that appears type "dxdiag" without the quotes and press OK.
- If you get a box asking to check if your drivers are digitally signed choose Yes.
- In the new window that appears, give the program a few seconds to complete it's processing (bar in the bottom left) then click 'Save All Information...' in the bottom right.
- Save the text file somewhere easily accessible, I'd recommend your desktop!
- Double click the text file to open it, press CTRL + A to select all of the text then CTRL + C to copy.
- Go to http://pastebin.com, and use CTRL + V to paste the data into the webpage and click submit
- Copy the link and paste it here in the thread
Cheers

@Zampoukos I have seriously nearly the same system, water-cooled with an Corsair I100. a 280X and basically the same CPU.
The question is, do you encounter any other heat issues with other games? As mentioned before, players reporting heavy CPU load on some systems but that should not over-heat your system. Is your CPU overclocked?
Cheers

Playing modded Minecraft made my CPU overheat but not as much as Star Wars Battlefront. No, my CPU is on default speed(4GHz).
