I am sorry to say this but this graphics card is to old to play starwars battlefront. You can upgrade it and with Black Friday around the corner you can purchase one that is 150$ Or more if you are willing to pay the price. But other than that you can't play the game.

The first response is quite wrong.  If you had a desktop and a real GTX 860, you'd be doing so much better.  But you have a laptop, and no upgrades to CPUs or GPUs are possible in laptops.  Only a Radeon can truly be relied upon to work as intended in laptops.

The entire front end is ripped out of a real GPU to create an "Optimus" that is cheaper than actual GPUs can be normally.  As a result, they are unstable, undependable, and IMO, next best to useless in EA games.  At present, AFAIK, there is no working driver for an 860m in Battlefront, on top of everything else.

  • Yes, the first response to buy a new card is really wrong. Second responder, thanks, do you think this is something that can be fixed from EA? I spent 100$ on the game + season pass.

At least some of what you are seeing is because nVIDIA doesn't DEFAULT to using the discrete video at all, and will revert to their ridiculous default at the slightest excuse.  That would be easily amended.  But they keep on making the Optimus and the terrible Optimus drivers the same way, year after year!

You can see a new and different error when you keep the Intel chip locked out of gameplay.
