@malicious4 maybe you'll be enough to get them to tell @EA_Aljo something or at least TRY to support the userbase?
I hope so. This is getting silly. Bought the game in December, played for 3 weeks, all of a sudden it stopped letting me play online. I hadn’t changed a thing. No one from EA gets back to me. The last guy I talked to was great, but couldn’t help. He suggested posting here and if I received a lot of responses and others posted that were having the same issue we might get some help. 🙄

Yeah, there's seven people on this thread and others that have spend tens of hours on the phone with EA with no fix.
It's definitely a server side issue and not related to "game sharing" as that isn't possible for the PC users that have the same issue.The largest and unassisted technical error on the help forum and EA won't help.
EA_Aljo said that they opened a ticket.....and a number of us sent in info to help.....and here we are two months later without one response.

Same here. Been lurking and checking this thread for the past several months. been nearly 3 months now that I haven't been able to play the game that i went out and bought a nice (and mind you, very rare right now) flight stick. But nope. EA has done jack to fix any of this. The last update before the most previous I was able to play online for 1 day. then right back to good ol' error code 721. It's a shame Ive played so many hours in the only 2 months i was able to play the game because now it's beyond refundable. Fix ur stuff guys.

We don't have any new updates on this issue. It can occur if you're gamesharing. If you're not, we'll need to go through connection troubleshooting to try to get it resolved. If anyone would like to do that, please let me know.

Are you on PS4? Yes I’ve spent probably 20 hours between PS, my ISP and EA. No one is helpful. I even conducted a connection test and sent results to EA. They confirmed my connections are all good, as the guy I was on the phone with was speaking with one of their techs online. So it IS on there end. I have never been so frustrated with a company in my life! I’m not sure I will ever buy an EA game again. If they have to fix on a case by case basis that is what they should be doing! In the long run, they would learn more about the MANY issues happening and how to fix them.

ive already done this. I’ve sent connection info too. Please check my account. This is your end. Even the guy I ws in the phone with for an hour said so. He checked with the tech and said all my connections were great. No issues there. He also said it’s not a game sharing issue. He suggested I post here so others with the issue can respond. As you can see, there are still issues. I would appreciate someone taking charge and getting this done! I’ve already done more than my share to try and get it working! Come on EA! 🙏. I’m trying my very best to stay patient, but it has been since January 7! This is beyond ridiculous. If EA is interested in fixing the issue, contact me by phone at any time. You have my number on file. ❤️

I’ve already spent more than 5 hours on the phone with “advisors”. Please get me in touch with someone who has the ability to “fix” the problem. Thank you.

@EA_Aljo - why won't you escalate and advocate for us with support?
What's the status of the case you opened?
This is a server side EA issue.
It can be tracked down through stack traces, logs, and a variety of other methods. - 5 years ago
@windcheat3r I agree. I’m not that techie, but guaranteed 20 minutes they could probably figure mine out and everyone else’s. The issues are probably similar. Figuring one out would help them get us all online. This isn’t a good example of customer service, particularly when it is their end that is the issue.

If this were easily resolved within 20 minutes, it would have been done by now. This has been investigated, but so far, it's been determined this is a connection issue or due to gamesharing.

EA’s total unwillingness to resolve this issue is disgusting.
I need to make some time to talk to Microsoft and Steam about refunding the game, and compelling y’all to eat the cost.
Worst support for an gamebreaking issue I’ve seen in over 2 decades. You guys need to drop the facade that y’all ever cared about this game and it’s customers and this game was nothing more than a cash grabbed beta test.

I was a consistent member of the Skull Squadron, and would have been competing in that scene.
Now the game just eats hard drive space on my computer. - 5 years ago@EA_Aljo No we are not gamesharing. I’m not. He’s not. It is an issue. Again, trying to be polite, but running out of patience. I’m tired of being pushed aside. Let’s fix this please. I am available if a tech wishes to work through this on the phone with me. My number is on file.
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo Check my file! I was told by the EA support person that a tech looked at all my connections and said they are fine. It is NOT A GAME SHARING ISSUE! He said it is at your end and suggested I post here so I can get more people who are experiencing the same issue to post so we can get support. HERE WE ARE! We are right here! Please stop giving the same excuses over and over. It is an EA issue and I/ WE customers CANNOT SOLVE IT!
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo Please go on my file, get my phone number, have a tech call me. I have provided all my connections through the program ea uses for tracing. Connections have been verified as fine. I hope after this is fixed you send us all REAL tie fighters. 👍🏻

@EA_AljoJust a heads up. I finally was able to stay online for the first time today.
On both Xbox and PC, the only way for me to stay connected to the servers is to disable cross-play.
This tells me that my problem is rooted in a conflict by my ea account having two instances of squadrons.
Not at this point that I'd expect a resolution on this issue, but if there is anyone working this, please pass it along.
Does anyone else having this issue own two instances of the game, or have played on different platforms?Followup:

Yeah, sorry @Scoti4 - We had clearly articulated the issue earlier in the thread.
The Root Cause is a servers side issue resulting in a 721 error if Cross Play is left enabled.
Not game sharing, this has been eliminated.The pattern of behavior commonly observed after disabling cross-play is a 1066 error as the game will never find a match.
I've been trying this weekly since January and I am never matched and after 10 minutes it just errors out.
Leavers Penalty persists.
This thread alone is >27 hours of time on the phone with support and they agree.
No on will help us or escalate even after we supplied information to EA to "open a case".
That was in January and somehow they haven't had time to assess or they have done some work but won't provide any evidence or BETTER YET attempt to interface with some of us on the various platforms to test. - 5 years ago
So tonight I went under my wife's profile and launched squadrons. Sighned into her ea acount and squadrons ran fine no problems . First time I got into a online game since January . Had to start off at level one . She will never play it so I guess it's a option. Rather play under my own name . At least I know it's not my ISP or my router or a bad connection it has to do with my account . I only have one primary ps acount my wife plays little big planet and couple other games on her acount. Not sure if that's considered game sharing.
