Game is Crashing Whenever I'm Near a Starship

I've had an issue during the first mission of the Star Wars: Squadrons story where my game will crash every time I fly near a ship larger than a fighter. Not sure what's happening, but I know that my computer is well above the specs needed for this game to run smoothly. I run on all ultra settings at 60hz with V-Sync on, as the refresh rate bug is still prevalent when above 60hz.

So I figured out what the issue was. My page file was turned off. Why? I have no idea, I don't remember ever messing with it.
Can play without a single crash in upscaled 4K now! Game looks amazing.
Would recommend anyone with the same issue to check the size of their page files.

Should also just mention this happens with Imperial light cruisers 90% of the time.

Another thing I've found, when the crash happens my GPU spikes to max then dies when the game CTD. My GPU seems to run around 60% usage ingame normally.

Exact same problem here. I'm well above the minimum specs, with Valve Index on Steam VR.
It's like as you approach larger ships, its loading a more detailed model and it just cant deal with it. For me there's first a very noticeable stutter and then a second or two later the hard crash to the desktop.
With the patch this morning, it seems to happen even more quickly, and I'm now generally crashing right in the hangar and not even getting out to get close to any other capital ships.

Hey, @Solarize022 make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date.

You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Squadrons and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.

Worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.

@EA_Atic having the same issue, and that didn't fix it. Also, the game crashes to desktop when clicking the "social" button in the top left corner of the main menu...... is this a known bug? If not, please add it to the list...

@ScoobKit If you try to put your game resolution to 1080 does that help?

@EA_Atic no... Tried 1080. Tried windowed mode, borderless. Everything. I am not inclined to believe it is a display issue... It happens when I get killed or kill someone or type in chat... its a very specific crash that I can easily recreate. Happens in Fleet Ai or Dog Fights

@ScoobKit Whats your volumetric quality settings on?

I cant replicate the issue my self no crashing for me I click on social menu. Reasons why I asked about moving it to 1080 resolution is not based on your screen its I have seen worked for other players with crashing issues.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?
