How do you Feel about the Game now?

Hi guys, now that the B-Wing and TIE Def is out, I have played around with them and found that new Content is okay.

I have played and Won PVP Dogfights and Fleet Battle Vs AI on every map at least once.

Currently I am feeling a little bored as I have tried out almost every Loadout and I was wondering if next Month we could expect some New Content?

  • @ReposterWhat I would like personally is something to make it less like every match is the same. For example, custom campaign missions or even custom Starfighters, or movie battles, or new ships/maps which are all completely unique, and different. It would spice up the gameplay a lot.

    I do not know if new Weapons or Components are going to be further Created and Introduced. I like new content but do not want Imbalance to the game, so I hope others think so as well and we can help the Devs balance the game further in the future if New Content is successfully introduced.

  • It feels pretty balanced currently. Pleasantly surprised. It’s fun to play, and what we pictured when riding our bmx bikes, farting each other’s tires because it was all we had then. It’s tougher to over overcharge the X-wing cannons now, but if you are quick with power management it isn’t a problem. TTK on tie fighters and bombers still feels a bit high, but manageable. Adding more co-op options would be great. My dad is 73 and still loves to play games, but online play is a bit much for him. Battlefront 1 had a good coop mode. Being able to team up with 1 friend vs AI is missing in many games these days. This game is still a good value for $40. Didn’t much care for the story mode, but dogfights are fun. What is really missing is the classic music. The music in game isn’t bad, but could use an upgrade compared to John Williams. Probably a mess trying to use it though I’d imagine. For those who enjoyed the original vector game in the 80’s, an arcade mode would be easy to add, and be some great fun. Being able to customize the waves would be even better. The new custom server options are good, yet don’t have any Vs AI options. Adding some more obstacle courses on different maps with a leaderboard would be fun too. Could even do it solo or in teams.

  • I'm having a lot of fun with it, I really like fleet battles but this more defensive change has taken a lot of the high speed dogfighting out of the matches, but I do feel like that's part of the natural back and forth that comes with finding any game balance, S1 maybe offense was too strong, now S2 defense is too strong, so maybe it'll balance out a lot better. 

    Personally, the feeling I get from the game right now is a lot of the PVP seems set up almost like "Sim battles" like, I really like what they made with the game, and I look forward to whatever comes next (I have a feeling the fighter that your flight lead flies in the tutorial will come out next, since the Interceptor is shown on your ready in a vertical mode to differentiate it from that fighter being show face on) but aside from fighters, I'd love to see some kind of "Mission mode" that would feel more like the meat of the game. Custom or generated squadron missions that you go out and do an objective that's not just "Roflstomp the opposing faction".

    Aside from that, I'd love to be able to focus more on playing a character, or a side. I'd really like to be able to just keep flying imperial instead of having to play rebel over and over. 

    Any and all of these things would probably put the game towards one of my favorites, possibly ever, like, I've wanted to fly my TIE again since I was a lil 6 year old girl playing TIE FIGHTER on DOS pretending my boot disk was the ignition key. This is pretty up there for me on favorite games. 

  • Im still on the base that there are problems with the fleet and physics of the ship standards. Im not trying to say they need to be real world or even cinematic canon, but to make a stance on what star wars should be would be nice. I mean have an angle that is investing in the realm.  

    For instance. The subject of the B-Wing.  ..

    Im not happy that you need a loadout element to rotate the wing.  As a matter of fact, the x-wing and u-wing needs a natural foil closing button even if its just a double tap of the boost button.  Like I want to wait a few seconds before and after the speed boosting for the foils to open and close. I mean we already do that  with the b-wing.

    Im so over the boost thrusting across all ships to tell you the truth is really killing the game like a copout for me. as if they cant figure out maneuvering thrusters.  I dont even know where they thought this might be from, cause its not star wars. (not talking about over charging which I firmly behind as different elements for dynamics) 

    Over charged engines should only let you accelerate to full/ max speed and mostly should be only for specialized engines attributes like unusable engine. 

    All speeds should be increased as you should need to do more engine maneuvering for trick and maneuvering. 

    B-wing  should be like a shark as with its engines can accelerate the fastest, to the point you need to limit your timing to not hurt yourself like from zero to a hundred. 

    also b-wing should have the highest maneuvering abilities which should be dictated by acceleration.

    I get the slow b-wing and dont mind. 

    This just unravels my whole issue with this game. Mostly boosting is killing it for me along with the speed dynamics. Also the sound  fx need more word and adjusting. Cause I shouldnt be hearing the whole battle scene in my cockpit, It really pulls me out of the games premise as a simulation or emergence.  

    Like I desperately need a view arrangement in options to let you look ahead to your turning direction beside the looking button. It would change things so much for none vr users. 

    I mean the game as a whole could be alot better, but I love what we got next to nothing. 

    Its still a good direction. 

      I would love to get into all the changes that need to be taken to finish the game aside from story direction. 

    I mean xwing and squadrons were my games that i played long after their time and waited for something of this caliber to emerge, cause i knew I was not the only one that loved these games and where they could take us into the star wars universe. 

  • Ilove it but im sooo fustrated by the A wings they have way to much shield for such a small ship , they are hard to hit anyways only to tail them and still not penetrate them with standard tie fighter lasers. To put it simply 90% of my deaths are by an a wing zipping around tuning on a penny, they need to be more fragile. I did play as one to see why they are so good at kills and i was amazed at how many hits they take before finally exploding. This is the only fault i can find with the game, of and being put against people 100+levels higher than me in match making. spawn .. die spawn die.. spawn die.. oh wait its a level 100+ in an uncatchable un blowupable A wing. I must say if your not playing this game in VR you are really really missing out its simply Astonishing !!! i would also reduce the time waiting to rejoin the match from15 sec to 10 as its so frustrating especially if you die a lot . Many thanks for the game to i still love it .. mostly

    I'll put it this way: I played Battlefront II damn near every day for over two years.

    I play this game a couple times a week.

    @urbanspaceman69 agreed,
    The body haul can be taken down to a half, while refraining shield stability. So, once you drop their shields they are pull targets, and should be very vulnerable to ion shots. Also their natural default maneuvering should be normal or low, but I would keep the speed.( and if they increase all the speeds it should as well.)
