How Do You Stay Alive Assaulting a Flagship?

Hi guys, just wondering have you successfully destroyed a Flagship without getting Fragged? Most of the times in Fleet Battle Vs AI my team mates and myself would get fragged by the Star Destroyer or MC75 trying to deal as much damage as possible.

What have experienced players found that can be taught to New Players and other Experienced Players.

    Let's get started by me.

    1. Don't attack alone. Never!! This is the most important thing from my experience. You have to wait your teammate and your Raider ship. They will be a big help for you.
    2. Hit and Run tactics. This is the way. Don't be too greedy and slow. Attack them then run away.
    3. Use your loadout effectively. Each weapon have pros and *. For example the Torpedos can hit the capital ship by 1,500m away. You don't need to get closer.

    It is very basic and it helped me a lot.

    I think sometime my Ion Torpedoes get intercepted by the Enemy, I am not certain. I say this because my Ship Damage Indicator does not register 24000 Ion Damage sometimes, but like I said I am not certain.

    Yes, torpedos are very slow and they can be intercepted. 🤔

    I will do that when I find them.

    The ION torpedos are the Most Valuable Target when the ship shields are active.

    (The BLUE missile is really noticable.)

    It is worth to snipe them.

    @Reposter There are valid angles that will let you attack with minimal ship turret convergence as well. For instance with the SD, there's several points at which the ship's own silhouette can block off some shots, especially from the lower front 30% at a low steep angle. The rebel ship has significantly less safe attack points but most of them are on the ventral side of the craft. Finding the spots that work well enough to attack will cut down on getting swatted.

    @EmmyV7 I always seem to get Tractor Beamed whenever I try to attack the Power System of the SD, how do you break free of Tractor Beams and how do you avoid them? Can they be targeted and destroyed before they snare your Starfighter?

    @Reposter Ok, that's completely fair, and I got snagged hardcore for the first like, day. It's a radius thing. There's a "I catch you" radius around where it snares (Likely a circle primitive used as a trip point) and it seems to sit on the underside, center of mass. So like, let's use the Star Destroyer again because it has a clearer point, the second, main fighter bay on the ventral side, and like, another 20ish percent away from that is the "Aha, gotcha" zone for the tractor, so if you're hitting from like, aft section, 33~47 degree to target section on that power system, you can get in close (But not too close) to nail it. Additionally it seems the tractor is a wrist slap for going for that particular point early, instead of whittling down the shields. Just based on how they built both ships.

    @EmmyV7 How do you escape from a Tractor beam? The Flagships Tractor Beam seem to do damage to my Starfighter but I am not certain is it from the Tractor beam or some Turbolaser Turret...

    @Reposter Flip your power to full engines, then boost, asap, and better yet, keep some boost in your charge as you're approaching just in case you get grabbed.

    @Reposter I personally think that flagships are far too strong. Their lasers kill within seconds, and you barely do any damage when attacking. And destroying the targeting system does not help at all. It does nothing useful. I think they should make losing the targeting system more significant.

    @CodesterMX-YT The lasers can be tough but sometimes the Flagship wipes you out because your morale runs out.

    From my experience I have won quite a few Fleet Battle Vs AI matches with Coop mode, usually like I said in my first post, you have to kamikaze the Flagship to eventually get the Win though, so I am trying to see if other players have a better way of winning Fleet Battles.

    I find making evasive maneuvers as you approach the Flagship to be useful, but I usually get Fragged when I get snared by a Tractor Beam, Your mileage may vary.
