How does one execute the combat roll on xbox1.

I've been trying to do it since I first saw someone do it but I have used all the buttons in different combinations but I just cant figure it out.

Combat: Added combat roll to non-Hero characters; strafe and double tap B (Xbox One) or Circle (PlayStation 4), for PC strafe and press Alt (can be rebound)

I'm using the alternative button layout and this is all that happens with me!

Any answers
