How far back does your fighter piloting go?

My first taste of flight was a game called Aces Over The Pacific, a WWII fighter combat sim. After that, I recall installing all them floppy disks on my Win95 PC to play: X-Wing, Tie Fighter, XvT, X-Wing Alliance, Rogue Squadron.. aside from that mostly just loved flying in the Battlefield (especially attack choppas) and Battlefront series.

I go back as far as Tie fighter 1994. I was 8 at the time 🙂.

I remember trying out X-Wing after playing Tie fighter and couldn't get on with it because of the graphics! 😂

I have to the X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter is still by far the best I've seen in my lifetime. Loved trying to get all medals and trying to score a higher rank on all the amazing missions they had. So many! The music too, in-game and in game menu was absolutely on point.

I've not liked EA for their past discretions but I'm glad they're allowing a small team to push forward and just make a quality game. Something very uncharacteristic of EA with their unfriendly consumer attitude but I might actually start purchasing their games if they start giving back. May e they've learnt something from Battlefront 2 (I never bought it). I digress! 

@SofaJockeyUKI think my very first flight game was Star Fox for the snes in 1993, by no means a flight sim but it was awesome back in the day.

Since I was a wee one and got introduced to TIE Fighter by my cousin (I was 5 or 6)

My fighter piloting goes back to February this year, when I got Bf2. I know, not as impressive as most of you guys.

Started out with Tie Fighter and still play Rogue Squadron when I can as it's one of my all time favourite games.

BFII is as extensive as my training goes; I've always appreciated the world and stories but just had other games to play (I'm a Metal Gear fanboy), but Squadrons looks like a nice game to suck me in
